Yeah, this is, STUPID, what needs to get CHANGED, in the LEVEL in moral responsibilities of the ENTIRE population in this god damn country, NOT the names what these things are, called, and yet, the government still kept, missing, THAT boat that's, already, set, S-A-I-L!!! You have GOT to be SHITTING me here! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
the FIGHT that occurred over the priority seats, off of YouTube, the physical ASSAULT of a twenty-three-year-old young man by two elderly...
I'm a fifth grade student, our teachers tell us to treat people with courtesy every day in school, but I'd watched the news of late, and see a ton of older young adults, getting into fights over the seating on the public transportation, to the point of physically engaging. Although, the purpose of the priority seats is to give the seating to those in need, to help people feel the kindness of, strangers, but instead, it has, the complete, opposite effect now, there are the news headline "the priority seats became combat seats", it'd worried me, can the elementary age school children sit in the priority seats? Do we, let up our seats to the, elderly that we see?
My parents told the government planned to change the name of the seating, to define the needs of the individuals first. But, I believe, that the name is quite important, because everybody takes it at face-value, with the priorities, there are, those who followed, and everybody wants to be ahead of, everybody else, and by them, a lot of people would believe, "I DESERVE the priority", and when you're ahead, I fall, behind, and then, the fight over the seating will happen again, and, the thoughtfulness of the government will surely, go, bust.
the current "label"...from online
I thought about it, rather than calling the section of the seats "priority seating", it should be better the section is named "the needy seats", those who are in need, welcome to take a seat, that way, there may be a reduction of disputes. After all, the younger generations would sustain injuries, and fall ill from time to time too, and when mom and dad goes out for work, they may need to sit down to rest because they're tired. Some of the elders are able-bodied, or they were only on the trains for one, two stations, they may not need the seats, and, those who needed the seats, don't have them, those who have no need to sit, get offered the seats, that would be, quite, weird and, awkward.
"The Needy Seat", meaning, that when you have the needs, please sit, and if there's an empty seat, those who aren't injured are welcome to it too, and when you see someone in need, then, stand up. If everybody has the empathy, that one day we will fall ill, grow old, and sitting in the "needy seats" will be, heartwarming. When you're able, help those in need; when you need, I'll, help you too, that'll change the society to better.
Can you believe, that this actually, came out of the "mouths of babes" (Children, an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL student!)? And, this is, a child who's, very W-I-S-E, in her/his interpretations of the observations of the disputes over the priority seating on the MRTs of late, and, and unfortunately, this is NOT utopia, nothing can get changed with a wave of that, MAGIC wand, besides, the people need to, internalize these "teachings", in order to, EXERCISE it, and, we're already, STUCK on the INTERNALIZATION part of the arguments about the priority seating here, so, yeah, it's still NOT going to get, solved here!
