Taiwan Had the Second-to-Last Lowest in Birth Rate Last Year, the Experts Called Out to the Central, the Local Governments, Proposed that the Enterprises Work Together with the Government Agencies, to MAKE the Younger Generations Want to Have Children
This is, the year of the Dragon this year, but, there's not the increase in births in the past. Taiwan is now, ranked, second to last in birth rate globally, with South Korea being the lowest, there was only, a 0.87 rate of birth for last year. The experts believed, that the losing of people, will effect the continual developments of the country, but, the policies to help reinforce the birth rates needed to consolidate the policies, setting up a friendly work environment, offering the parents flexible work hours, the guarantees to get higher up on the ladder, the extensions of the maternity and paternity leaves, the incentives for artificial birthing means, to set up a communal society, all of these, will help the younger couples want to have, more children.
The reductions of birth rate had caused the dangers in the Asian world, the South Korean president stated that South Korea is now, entered into the "state of emergency in population". Based off of estimates, last year, the average age of women giving birth was 32.44 years-old, 1.08 years compared to a decade ago, marrying late severely impacted the structure of the population. Awhile ago, the Fertility Medicine Foundation of Taiwan held the "Taiwan Fertility Thinktank Conference", and the various experts discussed the policies of the workplaces, and artificial births, these two major topics, and proposed the "advices to the reductions of birth rates", called out to the central and local governments to work alongside the enterprises, to "help those who don't want children want to have children, to help those who are infertile to become, fertile".

The Three Lows & the Three Highs, Gives Having Babies Negative Energies
The representative of The Economist, Emily Tiemann prerecorded her presentation for this conference, she'd pointed out, that there's a high urbanization rate of Taiwan, the older age of first marriages, the women participating in work high in rate, high incomes for women, but with an extremely low birth rate, the first task at hand would be to reduce the rate to which birth rate is dropping off sharply, the advices to tackle this included changing the paternity leave requirements and other policies of the workplaces, offering the assistance for the artificial birthing means, offering of nursery and daycare programs for children whose parents are at work on a wider scale, offering the rental home discounts, etc., etc., etc.
The Social Work honorary professor oof N.T.U., Wang pointed out, that studies showed, that the higher the gender equality, the higher the rates of birth, but, there's the three highs, three lows trend in Taiwan, the age of first marriage being later, the age of first births, later, increasing chances of infertility, low expectancies of births, low confidence levels of marriages, low sense of economic security, plus the unfriendliness of the workplace, making giving birth feel more negative.
The experts all believed, that the resources should be placed in policies that had been proven effective to increase the birth rates. The European Business Human Resources Commission's co-chairs, Hsu and Wang both pointed out, that the government needs to consolidate the policies in fertility, with the stresses on flexible work hours, the guarantees of promotions, and assistance in artificial birthing means.
Wang believed, that currently, for the first six months, those who are on maternity or paternity leave is only allowed an eighty-percent wages, that the government should make up for the remaining twenty-percent, and extending the leave from birth to three years of age to birth to seven years of age, so the parents can adjust their schedules accordingly. Hsu advised that the government opens up the outsourcing of the household work in childcare, to offer the incentives for instance, reduction in taxes, certifications of friendly enterprises, etc., etc., etc.; the enterprises also should incorporate a friendly work environment into the ESG plans of the development of the companies.
The Enterprises Should Subsidize Artificial Fertility Means
The secretary of the Taiwanese Gynecology Science Foundation, Huang stated, that those who want to have children who are older, not only have the psychological pressures, they'd had to be on medication, and be prepared for the artificial means of conception, and, as they finally get pregnant, they're, at-risk because of their ages, they're, really risking their lives, to try and reduce the obstacles of them, conceiving, children.
The C.E.O. Chen of Taiwanese Fertility Science Foundation stated, that studies showed, that increasing the incentives of artificial birthing means and making the services available in the women's vicinities, will greatly increase the total birth rates; other than the continual reinforced assistant funds from Central government, the local government, as well as the private enterprises also needed to put the money in, to help the people, to get treatments for infertility, to help the women conceive.
The assistant director of the National Health Institute, Wei pointed out, that the department started in July of 2022, expanded the assistance for the in vitro fertilizations, the first time the members of the public filed for assistance, $100,000N.T. are given, and $60,000N.T. for the second time, and the times of assistance may vary with the ages of the women getting the assistances; the National Health Department also made the promotional video "The Major Milestones of Life Traveling Journal", encouraged the citizens to list having babies as their life plans, so they can get married and start having children while they're still younger, and if there are concerns of infertility, treatment measures can also, be started on quickly; but, the department does NOT encourage the voluntary, the freezing of the eggs out of diseases or illnesses, these, societal factors, this would delay the plans of birth, besides, extracting the ova, the women need to go under anesthesia, there are, concerns of the safety of the women, and the National Health Department do not want to, overuse this measure.

And so, what this is stating, is that the government IS, paying us women, who are still, in our "primes" (whatever THAT means!) to start crankin' 'em out, and, they're offering us cold hard cash, and assistances of childcare, nursery care, lengthening the maternity and paternity leaves, to TRY and MAKE the members of the public WANT to have, babies, btu the FUCKING DDP failed to realize, that hey, this "country" (note: we'd stopped being one not since the DDP took this island over???) is unsafe, with the war, BREWING in the EAST (that's CHINA, right???), and there's so many illnesses, flowing around, MERS-CoV, Monkeypox, etc., etc., etc., with the economic downturn, economy headed into, RECESSION, and the LOW incomes, and the parents both needed to work, to BARELY afford their housing, and food, not to mention when those kiddies start those, private kindergarten years (as that's, where the, BEST education is, and we all want what's best for our young, don't we???), and so, add all of that up, tell me, that you WOULD, want to have babies, oh wait, of course you wouldn't, this world is too dangerous, to bring a kid into, and besides, which parent in her/his RIGHT state of mind, would work hard, to P-O-P that kiddy out, and just to, watch her/him DIE before they "mature" into, adulthood years, not to mention, that the years of adulthood (psychologically!) is arriving later than ever compared to before!
