How by voting the DDP back into office another term, we the people had, SCREWED our selves, over, with the roads severed off from Hualien and Taidong, the power shortages are totally coming, as the summer heats, up, and, everything else that's, going down…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The government will enforce the carbon tax next year, and the paying for the carbon tax will start the year following, as for the rates, should be $300N.T. or $500N.T.s per ton, the Environmental Department is currently discussing the means of what the rates will, be. The Executive Department is now, doing inventories on the country's hardware to reduce carbon emissions, circling on the architectural carbon emissions reductions, expanding the solar panels. The Office of Internal Affairs even made the demands that the architectures in all the national parks needed to have the solar panels installed. And this, is questioned by the KMT and TPP as destroying the scenes, and the environmental activists also believed that the DDP is evading the real problems.
The government's enforcement of carbon emissions reduction is already, behind; but due to international pressures, the government must follow suit. From the policies we already have, the first wave only charges the major facilities of over 2.5 ton of carbon emissions, including the steel, the cement, the semiconductor, petroleum industries, which isn't, with much efficacy. But to some of the traditional industries, the impacts from the carbon emissions tax is, severe, that it will greatly, impact the amount of money earned from the industries. Tong, the C.E.O. of Pegatron in the "Sustainable Summit" pointed out, that restricting the emissions of carbon from the major industries will only have the efficacy of ten-percent of the total carbon emissions; by pushing forth the "carbon free electricity", then, there would be ninety-percent of results. Problem being, when the government demanded that the enterprises pay a carbon emissions tax, it'd not noted its own, responsibilities in the means.
Based off of the non-nuclear policy of Tsai, by 2025, the natural gas generating electricity would be fifty-percent, coal thirty, green energies making up only twenty percent of the total. But the government had already stated, that the electricity production by green energy can only be at fifteen, and not reach to twenty; meaning, that there would be a whole of eighty-five percent of electricity that are generated by natural gas, and burning of coal. This is, the biggest, irony of the "non-nuclear country"; the DDP had shot down the "carbon free" nuclear plants, but, burned the coals, the natural gases at full volume, then, extended its hands into the enterprises to get the provisions of carbon taxes that it needed to generate the electricity using non-nuclear methods. Doesn't the government know, that the Taipower Company IS the worse "carbon-emitting firm", with Tsai's energy policies, the primary cause?
On the long run, there are four levels of disasters of the government's mistakes in energy policies: first, not having the stable electricity provisions, affecting citizens' lives, and operations of businesses; second, the increase in carbon emissions, which causes air pollution, damaging to our health; thirdly, the developing of wind and light generated powers, causing damages to the environment; fourth, the improperly structured electric power generations, causing the cost to rise, Taipower can't cover the losses now, and, we are the ones, paying for the high electricity. Since Lai came to office, he'd not found a resolution to this problem, instead, he kept evading the problems by hosting the conference meetings, the discussion forums. The government is getting loud, about to instill a carbon tax, but not thought about, how it can, amend for its wrong energy policies, how can this, avoidant attitude, make us comply?
On the one side, the DDP brashly shut down the functioning properly nuclear plants, on the other, forcing the fish farms, the residential areas, as well as the national parks, to set up the solar panels, to generate power. This simplifying the problem, not only is it self-deceiving, it's also, spending up the resources of the country, as well as the taxpayers' dollars.
In actuality, started back in Tsai's second term, there are, many instances of the DDP's lacking in foresight. For instance, to combat the pandemic, the Medigenvac vaccines skipped the human trials, and went with "bridging". Every time a DDP policy goes bust, the government started handing out "free money", to settle the people's anger. When the shortages of eggs, and vaccines happened, it'd, opened the backdoors, tapped into the agencies that it has connections with. When election comes around, the DDP put forth the policies like the "New Youth Plans", to buy the votes of the people, and sown down a more severe problem in finance. To cover up the scandals, the DDP allowed the politicians with extramarital affairs, sex scandals, those who can't rule, to keep on sitting high in office. Based off of the one-hundred day term of Lai's getting elected, other than blocking the "Amendment of Legislative Reform", what sort of will had he shown, on the reforms to make this country better? What problems had he resolved? The answer: we the people, can't see any!
On the transportation of eastern Taiwan, after the major earthquakes of Hualien in April, the transportation became, completely, paralyzed in and out of Hualien and Taidong; the major downpours from last week, the railroad, the highways, severed off. The more developed the technologies, the more distant Hualien and TAidong are from, civilization, does the Lai government NOT feel any, shame? The September 21st quake from a quarter of a century ago, the highways was neutered by the Chen government; and now, the locals of Hualien and Taidong, can't even return back home, with the remaining railroad systems that's, barely, intact, while the head of legislature, Cho had been patching this with that all day long, what sort of a vision is this, in, ruling over a, country?
There's the need for the long-term and short-term policies to go hand-in-hand, using the claims of benefits, the propaganda, you simply, can't rule a country well. Just like how the president, Lai, in combatting adverse weather conditions that we're faced now, he'd proclaimed, "don't play baseball in the afternoon"; seemed like he cared about the wellbeing of the baseball players, but, how many citizens are, laboring under the heat of the sun, making their, deliveries, what is going to happen to, this group of, blue collar, laborers? Would the problem just, vanish, if the government pretended that it doesn't, exist?
And, this is what we all get, for voting this, AVOIDANT president into office, since the start of his term, he'd been, dodging all the, serious issues of power shortage, with the pressing needs of the routes for getting into Hualien and Taidong that were broken by the typhoon in need to get rebuilt quickly, yet, what does, the DDP do? Nothing, all the political party ever does, was, "we apologize for the inconvenience of the power outages/severing off of the roads/or whatever PROBLEMS there are…we're doing the best we can to assist you…your "calls are valuable to us, please wait for the NEXT available customer service representative, we'll be with you, soon as we can"…and, "your wait time is, TEN million Y-E-A-R-S!", because all the government officials are BRAIN-DEAD, way too, STUPID, only CARED about getting their SORRY ASSES into those, higher up seats, and we the elected officials do NOT care about the "little people" like you…then, the call gets, DROPPED.
And that, is what we get, for voting this, DICTATORSHIP with an AVOIDANT-EVASIVE president into office, and there's nothing that we CAN do 'bout it, despite how the DDP lost the seatings in the legislature this time in election………………
