My new sandwich grill devices came today. So excited! But, it was raining all day. Grr. So, I made my first batches over the stove. It was actually a good idea because I could test them out in a controlled setting. I made two kinds of savory sandwiches (corned beef and cheese, and barbecue chicken) and a dessert (berry and marshmallow) sandwich. In between the batches I popped a giant pot of popcorn just because it's Sunday night.

My mom is here for the weekend and we did a video call on the big TV with our eldest son who is at college. It was the closest we've come to a family event in a long time. Felt nice.
