I stood on the outskirts of my home and looked into the far distance. The wind was blowing through my hair throwing curls every way. I took a deep breath and started my way into the unknown. Ace grabbed my hand reassuring me that he had my back. We made our way through the wooded trail, on a search for answers. On a search onto the great unknown. Gabriel warned us, and we accepted his warning and decided to go anyways.

"What do you think we'll find?" I asked Ace, stepping over a fallen tree.

"I'm not sure but Gabe said it'd all be revealed once we reached the edge of the gardens"

"Do you think we'll find our parents?"

  "I don't know, maybe"

I thought about all the cool things we'd find in the great beyond. I wanted to see all the people and things that happened back then. I wonder what they did to make God so angry to the point that he wanted to destroy them. I couldn't wrap my head around the idea.

So we traveled for days. Trudging our way through the bush, determined to find answers. We rested at night and walked during the day. We'd been surviving off of the food from the trees we'd pass. As we sat in front of a fire I began to fear we'd been walking for days and were now lost.

"Can't be lost if we never knew where we were going in the first place" Ace pointed out. He was right. We did start this journey without any sort of direction. I just hoped we'd be able to find our way back when it was all set and done.
