Hey Everyone!

What a week it was.

My Sunday night shift was a rough one at work where nothing seemed to go right...

Last night went better, which was good.

After work, I had scheduled an appointment to get something taken care of, and the earliest appointment I could get was at 10 am. I had to kill a couple hours, as I really didn't want to come home for a few minutes to just turn around and leave again.

So I went up to the area where I used to work, a few years ago, and went to the French bakery and to the coffee shop. I haven't been up there in the time I have been at my current job, even though it is so close.

On my way to go get treats before my appointment, I took a picture of a building that sits on one of the corners I pass by going to and from work.

In the time I have been around, I can only remember it being a furniture and fireplace store. I was always fascinated by the architecture of it, as it is very industrial. I got researching the business that I knew was in there, and it turns out that the building was originally built as an aircraft parts factory back over a century ago.

Now this building sits abandoned, boarded up and vandalized, which is sad - yet a common enough theme in this city at this point.

These buildings that are past their prime, and either not used as they were built to be used for or have been left to rot so to speak are fascinating to me. I am not "brave enough" to go on urbex adventures, but I definitely follow some urbex explorers on YouTube.
