I really like it when I have something worthwhile to share in these weekly roundups. I'll admit that some weeks feel a bit sparse. But this is one of those satisfying weeks, with multiple projects to share. First up, is an improvised triangular scarf I knit from some of the surprise Malabrigo from last week. Then, is the mandala I made up to go with my mom's living room rug. I've shown you that before, but not fully blocked, and not on the new table where it belongs. I also have a new vest knit and a bowl of soup to share.
All of these things were either improvised completely, or were made differently from the original instructions. I must be on a creative streak
It's a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren't posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples. It's more laid back than the Project 365s of previous years. You can learn more here

Saturday
Sunday
Time to begin a new project. This one is a vest. The pattern is a solid color, but I thought it would be nice with a stripe. A fuzzy stripe, no less.
Wednesday
Another lovely Fall day in New Jersey!
Thursday
Is there anything more cozy than a bowl of homemade soup on a Fall evening?
This particular soup is a chicken vegetable number that I adapted for the slow cooker from a recipe I found on @christinacarleton's blog in 2008 or so. Thanks for sharing, Chris. I've gotten several years of enjoyment out of this recipe
I hope to find some time in the next week to share my changes to the recipe. It really is one of my favorites to make and eat.
Friday
It feels chilly in the house today. Time to get cozy with my sweater-clad hot water bottle
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram
