It is no good just to write about not to worry, without the experience of having worried myself.

I have written my story a Journey Through Life With An Unseen But Ever Present God.

I believe God allows us to experience every emotion sometime in our lives. Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 "There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven." and it goes on to list good and bad activities.  Even though Worry itself is not mentioned there, there is a time to cry and a time to laugh, a time to hold on , a time to let go, so everything could include worry. A time to feel or cause to feel uneasy or slightly fearful, and a time to keep calm, never mind.

So lets look at some scriptures that can help us all when worry comes our way. {Message Bible}

Proverbs 12 verse 25 "Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up."

Philippians 4 verses 6 to 7 "Don't fret or worry. instead of worrying , pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. it's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."

James 1 verses 5 to 8 "If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get His help and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. ask boldly, believingly, without a second though. People who 'worry their prays' are like wind whipped waves. Don't think you're going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open."

1 John 3 verses 18 to 20 "Let's not just talk about love; let's practice real love. This is the only way we'll know we're living truly, living in God's reality. It's also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves."

God will allow us to go through situations that stir up our emotions such as worry. Remember Psalm 23 "Even when the way goes through death valley, I am not afraid when you walk at my side."

Worry can sometimes feel as though it is going to bring us down, trust the Lord and He will bring you 'Through'.

The word fret means to worry or be anxious and is used in the King James Version of the Bible. Psalm 37 verse 1 and 7 and 8; Proverbs 24 verse 19; and Isaiah 8 verse 21.

Remember we have a wonderful Lord and Friend, who is always ready to help us in time of need.

God Bless.
