I'll keep this blog simple by telling your right away the 5 must-haves for pregnant mothers (+parents) and kids. I'm a mother of two and I have used all these products to their full efficiency. I am a minimalist so neither do I buy everything and anything, nor do I use them second-hand. Anything that I bring to our home for usage is literally thoroughly thought out. BTW, none of these products are paying me money to advertise them. I am doing it as I really believe they are worth buying.
So here's a list of 5 must-haves for you:
- Maxi-Cosi car seat for newborns and babies until 1 yr: We used this for both our children and loved the comfort, ease, and practicality of it. There are multiple other seats from maxi-cosi that you can choose from, depending upon your choice, budget, and car.
- Baby Bouncer from Bjorn: The best part is you can use it from the very first day of the baby. Your baby is safe and can sleep in it. It is lightweight, easy to move around with, and compact. You can take it with you anywhere you travel in the car.
- Manduca Slingshot: I am in love with this. However, I had difficulties tying it in the beginning. But then what is the internet there for? Both of us, my husband and I, watched a few videos and we knew the art of tying it. It is an amazing way to carry your baby right next to you wherever you want.
- Ergo-baby 360: Once our children were bigger I preferred to carry them in the bag instead of the Manduca sling. The only reason is the bag can be put in a shorter time and can be removed right away without any hassle.
- Pregnancy pillow: This saved both my pregnancies and even my husband's nights. I love it and I am still using this pillow. Initially, I bought it only to keep it between my thighs to get a good comfortable position in the bed but then I ended up using it every single night post-partum. I used to feed the babies and also have them sleep in the middle of it to have a cozy feeling while sleeping.
I agree some of these items are terribly expensive, like the baby wippe but this is worth it. In case you have family & friends who are there to offer you gifts, I would recommend you ask them for cash or collectively gift you the items.
