He forever made perfect those who are being made holy Hebrews 10:14
Wow! This scripture says we are perfect while in the process of being made holy. I often times don't feel perfect, but this scripture is not about 'feelings', it's about believing what the Bible says about us. When we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Friend, then our life is hidden in Him – and Father God sees us perfect. He will complete the work He has started in us, we can have confidence in that.
Let's remind ourselves that though we still make mistakes, stumble, and do things we wish we didn't; that part of us is still being made holy. (Colossians 3:10 'put on the new self, which is being renewed in the knowledge and image of its Creator); but when it comes to our position before Father God, (in Christ),we are perfect.
"Uniquely positioned to bring help, hope and healing". I saw that slogan this week in a booklet I was reading and it really struck a chord in me.
Instead of seeing ourselves as not being adequate, let's see that the Greater One lives in us, and He is adequate. He has uniquely positioned each one of us, around the world, in a place where we can bring help or hope or healing, or all 3, to those around us.
This morning I bumped my little finger and it really hurt. I gently rubbed it for a bit, and the pain subsided, and eventually was completely gone. It made me think!. Sometimes it just something simple (like gently rubbing my thumb) – which may equate to giving someone a phone call or a text, offering to pray, or even a smile and encouraging word that can bring help or hope, to someone who is feeling down. At other times, like when I broke my ankle, I needed to go to the doctor, and have surgery, which meant several people were needed in my healing process.
The Bible tells us that 'the body grows as each joint supplies". Ephesians 4:16 "He (Christ) makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love". NLT No part of the body is more important than another, each joint is essential for growth. As we give, out of the love that we have been given from our Heavenly Father, in Jesus, our Lord and Friend, then I believe we are doing our part in seeing growth and health in the body of Christ.
