The hypocritical political party, finally started tasting ITS own, bitter, medicines here, and we the people had, waited, long 'nough here, too classic, this party that's, trying to, lie its way, out of, everything, and we the people, are we, not yet, awake??? It'd been, more than twenty days, since the start of the sex scandals within the DDP headquarters, it'd spread to the government offices, the performance industries, and the academic, recently, there's, that nuclear grade explosion occurring in the entertainment industry as well; the contents of these are, disgusting, awful, and it made it hard for me to read through them. A government that's embellished on the motto of "gender equality", other than producing the very first female president, what had the political, party DONE, to contribute to women in this society, truly, disappointing.
Although, many of the cases that's come out had already been, old news, but, a lot of the cases that's happened in the political party, the government offices, are, quite, recent, with the tears of the victims, still, very, new. Of them, there were the superiors' sexually harassing the subordinates, the donors or supporters of the party, sexually harassing the employees of the party's headquarter, come in, an assortment of kinds. What angers the people of all these cases, it's NOT of the degree of sexual harassment, but of how the internal government systems' "lacking in action in reporting the cases", to the point of these cases, vanishing, into, thin, air.
In actuality, a lot of the female victims within the political party had, immediately filed the complaints soon as the harassments, occurred, but the higher up, after receiving the reports of these events, delayed handling them, or not handling them, altogether, and even, verbally threatened the, victims, causing the hurt to get even, deeper. And this is, quite different compared to how the victims of other cases had, put up with the sexual harassments long-term on their own. To the DDP, "swallowing the sexual harassment cases", became the standardized operating procedures, this clearly showed, that the DDP is, "all talk and NO actions".
The DDP's motto of "gender equality", it's the values, but, in the practicality, it'd fallen, way, way, WAY behind other political parties. In recent years, the DDP mostly turned a blind eye, using a quite, passive way of handling the matter of their own members being accused of, being involved in sexual harassment, or extramarital, affairs, allowing the accused to, say what they wanted to say, lying to the, public. What's meant by "gender equality", after awhile, became, a wall, décor.

For example, the party members' "dual-pillow extramarital affair" that's happened, of the former head of state, Chang, and the head recruit of the party, Ke, everybody knows about; Wang's having an extramarital affair, and a child, not only had he not gotten punished, he'd gotten, promoted up the ladder. The Mandarin Language Center manager in Germany, involved in sexual harassment, and he got away, without, a single, scratch. And, others, including the legislators, Wang, Lo who'd had the extramarital affairs, everybody tuned in on, but, the party never handled them. And, the less than a handful of cases that's gotten the public fumed up, like Ting's sex scandal Hsieh's sexual harassment, the party handled, due to, public anger on these.
And it's safe to say, that the DDP's means of handling the cases involving sexual harassment, and sex crimes is "covering up best as we can, and when we can't, we'd, bend the rules, and if we can't bend the rules, then, we'd, paint it over, and if we can't paint over them, then, we'd, sever the connections with the individual involved." Including the emotional blackmail of the victims, those in power, vouching for each other, and the perps naturally are, fearless of getting prosecuted.
To these accusations, the DDP made two responses: first, Tsai's government had pushed forth the multifaceted makeups of a family, secondly, she's the very female president, which made her the embodiment of gender equality, giving way to women in politics. But, these two reasons, don't stand. The same-sex marriages was made possible, because the grand justices signed on it, what does it have to do with the DDP? As for decriminalizing adultery, there's still many criticisms on the matter from the outside world. And so, Tsai's claiming how she did something for gender equality is nothing but her, tooting her own, horns. Although Tsai is the very FIRST female president, but, under Tsai, the women in her cabinet was at an, all-time, low. For the past seven years, there's only, a little over ten-percent of women who'd served in her cabinet, and at the lowest, not yet five-percent; way lower than her predecessors' Chen and Ma's, fifteen to twenty-percent.
And, same for the nomination. Last year's nine-in-one elections, although there were over forty-percent of female mayors on the rosters, the highest in time; only one woman on the DDP ticket, way lower, than the K.M.T.'s. And so, the DDP's claims about gender equality, other than reinforcing how Tsai was the very first female president, besides that, they'd not done a thing to give more rights to women.
Digging deep to the reasons, it's because of how the DDP NEVER viewed "gender-equality" as one of its, core values, it'd become nothing but a motto, to manipulate the voters, nothing more; and once there's the conflicts between gender equality and the power politics, the party automatic goes for the latter. And this time, Lai, the vice president claimed that he'd, "handled the sexual harassment incidents perfectly", it's also, due to the considerations of the elections, without the core values whatsoever. After these sex scandals, the DDP's calling itself a "gender equality advocate" political party had, become, nothing but, a big, L-I-E.
And so, this is how, hypocritical this political party is, it'd preached about gender equality, right for women, and passed the most advanced laws on protecting the victims of rape, yada, yada, yada, and yet, look at its, actions, it doesn't, correspond to what the party preached, does it? of course not, and, we're still too, blind, following them, down on this, ROAD to hell, allowing all our rights to get, CASTRATED!
