I am not a person who tolerates verbal abuse from anyone. We had a host that started verbally abusing from the second my foot hit the steps. We had many calls during that stay. We ended up without internet access for days during a mass shooter event. I reported it imeediately to AIRBNB.
My hometown has changed alot since I moved away almost a decade ago. There is homeless problem because there a lot of housing that had been torn down, aquired by the local college business program, and short term rentals. Hotels rooms are being used to house the homeless. We couldn't find hotel room. AIRBNB didn't offer another lodging.
We have been in communications with AIRBNB for over a month. AIRBNB has failed to resolve the issue. I expect a written apology from AIRBNB. I also expect the host to removed as host on AIRBNB. She posted false information about me on Facebook multiple times. I have pictures and video of what the house looked like when I left. I also had a witness with me as I did this. I was able to get all the social media sites to take down her lies.
AIRBNB had done absolutely nothing but shuffle me around from team to team. I went to my credit card company with all the phone recordings of our phone calls, voice mails, emails, and a reporting of the evidence from day to dayof our stay. I recieved a refund from my credit card company yesterday under my protection plan. Consumers need protection from Hosts that abuse their guests.
