About the book:
Wounded Tiger is the true, character-driven story of the Japanese pilot who led the Pearl Harbor attack, an American prisoner of war, and a college girl who becomes the fulcrum of change in this epic book. Three incredibly different people's paths cross in ways so remarkable that it would be hard to believe if it weren't so well documented. This is a meticulously researched true story of hatred, love, revenge, and redemption.
My Review:
This week I've been sick so with an infant sick as well. It's been some long nights with RSV. I've read on this book off and on. It's hard to put down since it's such a great page turner when I get so caught up in it. However I will be the first one to say I won't finish it by the time this review is due. I'm going to try my best though.
Once I opened the book Wounded Tiger like I said I couldn't put it down. It's been easy to follow and read. I've never felt like it lost my interest. I wanted to keep on reading because it gets you lost in it. I like stuff about history and this one has authentic details and everything. I haven't been disappointed. The more I read the more I'm amazed at the journey it's taking me and other readers upon from victory, forgiveness, the power of the faith and God's love for all. It's giving us hope!
My daughter called this a novel but I'm not sure I would call the book that since it's a true story. The 600 pages could really throw someone for a loop but it's pictures and from what I've read so far the chapters themselves really aren't that long.
The book captures the journey's of the Japanese pilot who led the attack on Pearl Harbor, an American POW, and the daughter of a missionary to Japan. You will read and learn that the pilot and the POW come to faith, and God begins to slowly transform their hatred into love. This page turner has keep me busy most night till I can finally fall asleep. It's been a beautiful and moving story so far and I can't wait to finish reading it. I really don't want to give too many details as it would possibly ruin the read for you.
You can purchase your own copy at this link. I highly recommend this book.
