Transformation continuing receiving discernment and understanding .The start of a New Year, how should we start the New Year, let us suggest, we ask Our Lord and Our Friend for wisdom just like this story from Kings 3 verse 5:
Kings 3 verse 5: "At Gibeon The Lord appeared to Solomon in
1 Kings 3 verse 5: "At Gibeon The Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream at night, God asked, 'Ask, What should I give you'?"
When most people think of King Solomon, they perhaps only think of wealth and property. But when we look at the story, we see when God appeared to Solomon in a dream, He informed Solomon that he was ready to grant any request. {1 King 3 verse 1 to 15}:
Solomon's response verse 9: "so give Your servant an obedient heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours'?"
Now that pleased The Lord, that Solomon had requested this. The Lord was pleased because Solomon didn't request the self items, like long life, or riches for himself or destruction of his enemies. Solomon asked for discernment for himself and to understand justice.
Most people are trying to find a genie in a bottle, so they can make a wish. But How Good is God. He has great plans for us. Jeremiah 29 verse11.
Through discernment and understanding, Solomon became a great king, and everything else he ask for was added to him.
Matthew 6 verse 33: Tells us: "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you".
A place where we need not worry. Matthew 6 verse 30 and 31:
V30: "So don't worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or what will we wear?'
V32: "For the idolators eagerly seek all these things and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them".
Solomon was wise before e was given wisdom, because he knew what it was to seek the best God had first.
Finding the Kingdom of God we will find, discernment between good and evil and we will understand justice and mercy.
The things of God will be given to those, who hunger and thirst after righteousness.{right standing with Him} Matthew 5 verse 6:
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because they shall be filled."
God Bless
