Before I begin today's blog post, I want to apologize for not writing more Frugal Friday posts. I haven't felt as though I was being frugal in any new ways lately. We've been working to really stick to the budget this year, while taking extra trips to see my parents.
Today's topic is this pretty rainbow cart, though! It's a particularly useful storage piece, and I'd like to share why! You see, this cart holds my unfinished objects (ufo's). Each colored drawer holds either one project or office supplies.
I have five unfinished projects going. Some of them are long term projects which will take me years to finish. When in the middle of a quilting project, I often need a place to "put away" the finished blocks. I also put the pattern or book away with the blocks, so that all the things I need to find to get back to a project are there together.
My desk has no drawers. In fact, it was the dining room table when our family was smaller. Having a large work surface is good when I'm mid-project, but too much clutter impedes work. Putting away both my office supplies and my works in progress keeps my desk clear and ready for the next adventure.
I hope you're having a wonderful Friday and that you've found some useful storage solutions for your sewing space! Happy Weekend!
Stacy
