How the ancient beliefs had this everlasting effect on modern day politics, and we the people are still, fooled by the manipulations of the, corrupt, politicians, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The former president, Trump in a Republican campaign in Pennsylvania on July 13th, was shot, there were the blood coming down his face. Although he was injured, he'd, immediately raised his fists high up, waved his arms, called out loudly. The news media in the U.S. mocked "the bullet that shot Trump had, killed Biden", finally, it'd led to Biden dropping out of the presidential races. Afterwards, many of the public still believed, that Trump will win the 2024 election in November, it'd made the Democrats flew into a state of, panic. People often used Machiavellian to describe the cunning, sly, or cold politicians, while the Democrats of the U.S. believed, that there are, rarely, anyone like Trump, who'd perfectly, showed the, properties of, Machiavellianism.
As we talk of "values", we hoped that this world is influenced by what is righteous, what is, just, generous, and kind, and not by the powers or the wealth. In the democratic times of now, the politics served the people, and, any behaviors that damaged the people's welfare, is considered being against the general values of, society. And so, some suggested that the values should not be found in the traditional values, but from the angle of building a country that is democratic, and wonderful for the people to live in. it's just, that "powers of the people" means different things in the individual, politicians.
Mentioning the "modern-day morale", and "people's rights", Il Principe by Machiavelli. Based off of the title, the volume supposedly supports the faith to the leader, this was ancient values. And yet today, the Machiavelli theories became what the American political systems go by. He said, "to protect the benefits of the country, sometimes we need to stray from the principles, to disregard mercy, to losing our, humanity. The primary task of a ruler is to figure how best to maintain the benefits of the country. If successful, any means is justified, and everybody will agree."
To succeed, we needed the humane side of the law, also, the brutality of power. And yet, in reality, relying on the former is never quite, enough, so we needed the latter, to achieve the desired, effect. As a leader, the individual must be brutal and humane at the same time, to stay in that status of power long-term, this is the center of Machiavellianism.
Changing the "emperor" into "Republic", then, the U.S. had, put Machiavellianism into practice the best. The traditional justice and morale came from the commonly existing law and precedence, with the ruler, maintaining the laws to keep the countries, stable. But modern day countries no longer followed this, but through the setting up of democracies to set up an free environment for the people, to put the generally accepted values into practice. As for how "democracy" is defined, it's up to the rulers. The politics of Taiwan, the "democratic" weighed more heavily than the "republic", this is similar to the Ancient Greek city of Athens, with the rich gaining more resources from the economic advantage.
While the values of the "Republic" of the U.S. is constantly changing. For instance, how Nixon implored the "Triangular Diplomacy" during the Cold War Era, establishing connection with China to fight against Russia. This practical approach is to maintain and protect the benefits of the U.S., although this was conflicted with Nixon's own values formerly. And, in the Vietnam War, the U.S. also put Machiavellianism into practice, including the lies and political overthrow, to get the tactic goals accomplished. This showed, how under the varied circumstances, the leaders would ignore the traditional ethics and value systems.
The morale of the U.S. is often defined as the consensus of the politician, "national morale". In the U.S. no matter if it was Republican, or Democrats, the behaviors believed to be justified, are all fitting to the benefits to the country. And yet, these two parties had completely opposite views of what benefits the country. While the other countries in the world, changed along with the morale beliefs of the U.S., and all we can say, it's all the faults of, Machiavellianism!
And so, this is how the governing bodies of a country, can affect the people, with we the people, voting these, corrupt leaders into office, because we people are easily, manipulated, and the problem still lies in the people, because we're all too easily, fooled, easily, manipulated, and the government we elected into office, continued to use this to, abuse the people's rights, it's happening, everywhere in the world!
