Just because you SHOWED remorse, that still doesn't mean, that you HAD any, when you, KILLED off your wife and injured your kid, but because a letter your severely injured son wrote on your behalf, you got, nothing more than, that, SLAP on the, WRIST! This is still SHIT, where's the @$%$ING justice in this case again??? Oh, there's N-O-N-E!!! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
He'd Hammered at and Injured His Son During the Assault, the Verdict Considered that the Son is Already Able to Write the Letter, that the Brain Damage Carried NO Major Side Effects
The man from Changwha, Yu assaulted his wife and son with a hammer last year, causing his wife to die, and his son, severely injured, on the first trial, he was sentenced to a total of twenty-four years for murder and attempted murder, after the appeals, Yu admitted to what he'd done, but believed that the sentence was too severe, and his attorney pointed out, that he'd already made up with his own son, and begged the courts to reduce his sentence; the second trial considered the ratios of his son's recovery, changed the sentence to nineteen years, and this can still be appealed.

The investigators found, that the sixty-three-year-old Yu felt upset that his wife borrowed the money, and her spending habits were out of control, that it'd crushed the family's economics, he'd first assaulted his own son to injury, then, attacked his wife's head, more than twenty times, murdering her, the son ran into the super convenience shop covered in blood, to ask for help, the police arrived and arrested Yu on site. The first trail found Yu guilty of murder and attempted murder of an underage minor, sentenced him to twenty-four years, Yu though it was too severe, had his attorney fight for an appeal.
ruling this...as manslaughter and assault, and NOT murder or HOMICIDE! Illustration from online
During the trial, his attorney brought out a letter written by Yu's son, believed that although Yu and his son hadn't made up yet, but their relationships had improved a bit; in the letter, the son told him how he was, how he'd gone to college, and although there's no mention of "I forgive you", but since the assault and murder, his son had never initiated contact with him until now, that this time, he'd, "broken the ice" in contacting his father, that there's the resolve between the two, the attorney handed the letter to the judge to be used in the considerations.
Based off of understanding, the letter started, "Dear father,", then the son went on to tell how he got into university, how he was getting along with his classmates, , how he's living a normal college life now, and the expectations of "the future is still bright", and he'd written on about eighty-percent of the page, it could show, that Yu's son was really working hard, writing the letter to him, that this is a huge improvement to their, relationship
The attorney told, that after Yu murdered his wife, and attacked his own son, whenever he'd talked about his son, he would get quite emotional, and when the visits occurred, he'd shown remorse also, and that since the start, he'd never once, showed that he was not at fault.
The justice of the second trial found, that Yu's son was injured as he fought off his father's attacks, his fingers became distorted, that after the physical therapies, he could already, write, and there's no major side effects of the lacerations on his neck in the attacks; during the trial, Yu stated he wanted to have the resolves with his own son, at the time, the social worker told, that the son "didn't know how to face his father", with NO desires of getting resolves. Considering that Yu had no priors, that the causes of his murder of his own wife, his assaulting his own son was from the pressures of economics, considering Yu's son's letter, the judge tossed back the sentence for the attempted murder charge, from the eleven years in prison of the first trial, changed it to eight years ten months, for his son's part, and for murdering his wife, he is still sentenced to fourteen years, and that he needed to serve a total of nineteen years in prison. And so, this is how, this, MURDERER, ABUSIVE man, got a slap on the wrists, because his lawyer was able to produce the letter of his son's forgiving him, and, maybe, the son can, overlook the FACT that his mother was, murdered by his own father, because that's the ONLY parent that he had, left, that's why he'd forgiven his father for assaulting him, for MURDERING his mother, but this is still, NOT justice, because a MURDERER got away, with the SEVERE punishment of life-in-prison with NO chance of parole, and still only received a, slap on the wrist, because of the letter that the lawyer handed to the court judge. And his wife got murdered, for naught…this IS not justice!
