How this new head of economics, with a background of business, had ZERO clue, and yet, these are the officials, appointed by the people's choice of president, now tell me, that "We the people" are not, STUPID here!!! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The major indexes took a, swan dive on the fifth, and was the most loss in Taiwanese stock history to date, and rewrote the record of dropping more than 1,000 points in two days, and the global stock markets seemed to have crumbled too. Kuo, the head of Economics, only lightly stated, "everybody needs to be prepared, this is, a part of the cycles of up and down of economy". Not only did he NOT propose a viable way of coming, he'd not even bother with the pep talks, his attitude of "not-in-my-backyard", the legislators from his own party couldn't even stand it, and told him to, watch what he was saying.
What's more surprising was, Kuo told the press, that to reflect on the costs, the water, the electricity, should all increase, because of the geographic political risks, and the global economy. This incorrect political view, caused the legislators from the DDP to go after him.
this is what the government became, as it wasn't, set up, properly in the first place, everything falls out of place, and nothing works right, and nothing works together...photo from online
The head of economics, Kuo was from the field of business, and everybody originally had high hopes for him. And yet, soon as he got onto the position, the DDP legislators "taught a lesson" to him, and he'd, immediately, given up his support of nuclear energies, and this made the people's expectations of his being able to turn around the energy problems, suddenly, fell, out.
And, there were the doubts of Kuo's main frames of the economic policy proposals—"setting up the technology parks to lead the Taiwanese merchants to come out", and to "attract foreigners using the benefits of Taiwan".
For one, the policies contradicted, on the exporting outward, it's having the advantage of industries of Taiwan, for example, production of semiconductor, replicate to other countries; while the internalization, setting up a fuller operative production chain, to attract the major manufacturers of semiconductor to set up production plants in Taiwan, this ambiguous goal of the policies, is totally, confusing.
Secondly, the policies only help some of the transnational industries. And on the matter of gaining the territories for the building of the factory plants abroad, may be quite, hard to execute, and this needed a ton of money, and this only benefits a minority of the large-enough asset international enterprises, is this, reasonable, at all?
Third, the policies are too far from the people's needs. Kuo had stated, that he wanted to increase the Michelin Star restaurants to five hundred in four years. Putting aside if this was tooting his own horns, I believe, that this is similar to how the government only looked after the semiconductor chip manufacturing industries. And, in the eyes of ordinary people, who are, hit hard by the rising costs of utilities, and weathering the impacts of inflation, we would be confused, why the government only, looked after those with a higher up earning and higher up spending.
and this, is WHAT these, government officials are, good for: sitting still, looking PRETTY, like a DUMMY! Illustration from online
Since after the Authoritarian rulership of Chiang, many of the heads of economics from the specific industries didn't serve long enough terms, Kuo the head of Economics and his mentor, Huang, had both been put in the position of head of economics. Only that, Huang's policies caused great debate, and, he'd stepped off, after just, six months.
Kuo, is a successful entrepreneur, I suggested, that he should have a fuller, more completely set of policies, and NOT just considered the rich, or his own, business, or, he shall follow the footsteps of his, mentor.
And, this is what you get, when you have these, SHORT-SIGHTED officials in the various departments of government, NONE of them see the BIG picture, which is what we desperately needed and, the policies that these officials proposed, only benefited a limited numbers of industries or individuals, and, what of, the rest of us, huh? Oh yeah, because we're, NOBODIES, so, our lives, don't, matter…that, is how the DDP had ruled, since Tsai was elected as president, and now, Lai's continuing her way of, doing things, and it's still WE the people, who end up, suffering the, most!
