Now WHAT, does this, remind you of??? Oh yeah, the U.S., how the Democrats and Republicans are distrusting each other, instead of realizing, that HEY, we're ALL in this same BOAT together, and, that's how, because within the party, there's the factions, the country gets, SCREWED OVER!!! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The business of the legislature's going after the legislator of the DDP legislator, Chen, on the surfaces, it seemed a business within the DDP, a "family affair", but in actuality, it's because of how the DDP members are distrustful toward the chair of the DDP, Lai, being the reasons down at the roots. After Chen was ousted from the legislature, and, surely, the remaining members of the DDP legislators would surely, lean toward Lai even more, and will this be the powers gathering from within the DDP's "distrustful of Lai" faction, this will be the indicator that's coming up next.
it all started out with this, the two major political parties, fighting over the country's rule...political cartoon from online
Chen's insistence on being in the elections of the central organization of the DDP, served the purpose of if she got elected, then, it will be the determinant of the nominations of the mayoral candidates in 2026, and, of the potential candidates for the mayoral race of Tainan, Lin and Wang, they all had their, separate, supporters, fighting to get elected to the Central Commissions.
Although Lai already stated it clearly, that there would be a fair way of nominations, that he wouldn't disregard the results of the preliminaries, but Chen is going up against the party affiliation of seventeen years, the committee she belonged to, to FIGHT for the nominations of the Central Commissions, which showed, that Lai's promises are now, questioned by his own, party members, that she felt compelled to fight for the nominations to not get conned by the rules of the games of the nominations.
And the storms in the legislature, other than the external causes of "distrust in Lai", there's also, the internal factors of how Lai's terms brought out the split in the beliefs of the party. Since Lai was set as the head of the party, the distance of the legislature became, delicate. Currently, there are many of the important positions of the DDP party central, including the secretary, the assistant secretary, the policy commissioner, they're all members of the legislature of the DDP.
The city councilwoman, Chen yesterday as she got fired from the legislature, alongside Chen stated it bluntly, that "I'd never leaned toward the powerful side, I'm not one who bent where the wind blows", which showed the ambiguity of the factions within the DDP a long time. And as the matter of the legislative cut happened, from the grand schemes of things, the DDP factions are leaning toward the unified beliefs of "trusting Lai"; but, at the time of the leans toward Lai's favor, it is not a good thing, for the DDP that used to be able to, gather up the masses, instead, it may, kill off the healthy progressions of growth of the DDP.
So, just like that, there are, the splits within the party, and, what it appears, is that the "country" is now being governed by a political party that can't even deal with its own self, with the members splitting up, into those who followed Lai faithfully, and those who don't agree with his means, and so, this is, not just a split within the legislature here, but a split within an originally united political party (despite how corrupt it had been!), that's now, slowly, fractioned to, pieces, and if this continues, then, it would guarantee an easy win, for the KMT the next time voting comes, around, maybe???
