The rise and fall of a, political party, from the very beginning, to the end…how the man singlehandedly set up his political party, and due to his own lack of moral standards, he'd, singlehandedly, brought it all, down too, but he still got his, more-than-thirty-seconds-of-fame on "stage", so…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
During Ke's term as the mayor of Taipei, his deputy mayor, Peng was found to have been involved in the case of the embezzlement of the case of the mall construction, he'd been restricted from flight and house-arrest, and all of it showed how this isn't going in favor of Ke's direction. As for the ongoing case of false accounts of the political donations, the accountant, Duan and the person in charge of the accounting firm, Lee are now both out on high bails, and are under house arrest. The cases, taken upstream, they may all lead up to, Ke; even if it's only the process of finding out who is to blame in the cases, it would, greatly, impact the TPP for certain.
The cases came one right after the other, especially the D.A.'s working the false records on the political donations came too fast, whether it be coming from the higher up or if it was political assassination, there will be no leniency. Strictly stated, these cases are different in substance, and would impact the TPP differently. Problem being, from the case of the wages of the legislator, Kao, the dominoes all fell one by one, and it'd, left this, negative aftertaste of the party for the people. The results of the compounding effects of all these cases, will surely cause the smokes to rise, and destroy the voters trust that they originally had for the TPP.
On the case of the mall construction embezzlement funds, Ke's involvement, is too clear to define. The reconstruction of the mall isn't included in the "urbanization plans", but Ke had given the high volumes of rewards of eighty-four-percent to the production, not only was this against the law in principle, but also, in the regulations too. The related discussion forums, held by Peng, but was signed into approval by Ke himself. And certainly, the questioning of neutrality in the case for Ke came under fire, and whether or not he'd allowed specific groups to "slide" is disputed. Especially, as Ke used the mottos of "fighting against the encroachment and the embezzlement" in his election campaign, and yet, he'd done what he'd, preached, against, he can't explain his way out of this.
Compared to how the funds of building of the mall all pointed toward the benefits received by Ke from the companies, the falsified account for the political donations, there's no signs of how Ke had placed all funds into his own, personal, accounts. Problem is, the disclosures of how he'd used the unfitting individuals, lacking in management, mixing what's private with what should've been public, to the point of shocking to all. As the chairperson of the TPP, due to his not using the right people, he'd, brought shame to his own political party, and, disappointed all his, supporters, what does he have, to face up to the party members as well as his, supporters?
And, blaming all his problems of the political donations to the accountants is his way of, evading responsibility; but, Ke's campaign manager, Huang and his closest financial consultant, Lee, weren't they, responsible too? Outsourcing the responsibilities of the falsified bookkeeping, all to Duan and the agencies, who'd decided on that? Who is it, that put Duan on such a high pedestal, and put his whole faith and trust in him? The self-proclaimed third largest party, had done something so stupid that no other parties had ever done before, and yet, sought out the easiest way to escape the responsibilities; how will the party, attract younger generations of party supporters? Besides the rush to shut down "Mu-Ke" company, how many more unexplained funds aren't cleared up; the party, the politics, and the private accounts are all, interwoven, Ke's "I'm innocent" became, but a myth, that is actually a, lie.
Ke told the press, that this time the falsifying of the books, he'd made a "low level mistake". His attitude showed how he was, evading responsibility, that he wanted to turn the events into, nothing, that he doesn't have any intention of looking deep into his own behaviors to see what he'd done wrong. In actuality, it didn't matter if the falsified books were a "low level mistake", it'd, had a nuclear grade effect on the image and support of the TPP. Think, the over three million votes that Ke received in the last presidential election, including those who'd donated to his campaign, or those who bought the products from his campaign, they all believed in his, honesty and decency, believing that he could make the political sphere in Taiwan better. The case of the embezzlement of funds for the mall, the falsified bookkeeping, crumbled the façade of him "being a good leader". It only took a little more than three million dollars N.T. of political campaign donations, and it broke the TPP, how can anybody believe in Ke's myths?
From the larger political sphere, the society doesn't want to watch the TPP get destroyed by the cases that its members were found to be involved in. But no matter, how it got to this today, showed, the position of "the Party of Ke" and "one-man political party", should get totally, reformed. Ke was the founder of the TPP, and certainly from the beginning, he had his charms as a support. But it'd been five years since the party's coming into shape and being, if he still can't share the power and work with his party affiliates, if he still thinks, that the party can only run, on his own, beliefs and will; then, this authoritarian political party, will be shaken up, because of how badly he had, misspoken and his improper actions, who can the party grow stronger?
From the start of the year, look at how Ke was so full of confidence, that he is to win the election, to now, the many cases of embezzlement that's on him, Ke should get down from the shrine of the one-man party now!
So, this is the rise and the fall, of a man, who thought he was right, but in reality, he didn't have enough morale, enough virtue, to lead the party he'd started, maybe, he'd started his political party as he felt that the political sphere needed something new, and he was that new, and yet, as the cases of embezzlement, the falsified records of funds, the privatizing of the donations of the campaign funds into his own pockets, it's his immorality that singlehandedly, CRUSHED this political party he'd, started!
And now, he falls down, from that, high pedestal…
