This is what two boxes of apples looks like once dehydrated.

Mr. Caffeinated loves dried apples, so we dried an assortment of six different types for his enjoyment this winter.

I didn't treat them at all; just washed them and ran them through the corer/slicer, laid them out in the trays and got them drying within minutes of slicing. I've sprinkled them with sugar and cinnamon in the past, and those are also quite tasty.

Overnight in a dehydrator at 135° is plenty of time to get these crispy! They are dry enough to snap, so I'll be storing them in the pantry instead of the freezer.
