WoMo Newsletter: Thursday 1st September 2022

Hey WoMos

Dear WoMos

We are closing into the end of the summer holidays. I am thinking of all WoMos with school age children as you think about:
  • School shoes
  • Book bags
  • Lunch boxes
  • Backpacks
  • Uniform
and so much more.

I took my 6 year old to get school shoes last week with the horror of leaving it too late looming over my head. My 19 year old reminded me of the school year she went back on the first day term with trainers on as I forgot she needed school shoes.  True story!  It has taken me 3 kids to get this right!

Special love and thoughts to WoMos sending a child to school for the first time.  It's a special moment.  Take photos and keep the photos that go wrong.  I have some funny ones of mine when they were younger.  Silly faces, falling over, back turned, all the usual.  Now they are lovely memories.

We have 2 blogs for you today.  Raewyn one of our Ludo Partners is running an event on September 15th and we have a blog for those of you who hated being pregnant.  I have to confess, I am one of those.  The end result was worth all of it. So much so I did it 3 times, but the process for me was far from enjoyable.  There seems to be shame around saying you don't enjoy being pregnant.  Let's remove the stigma.  It's ok not to be ok.

And don't forget your invitation to join us at the red tent women's circle on 25th September!

Please remember to introduce us to your employer.  We want to have a chat with your Head of HR or Diversity & Inclusion lead on how to retain female talent.

Have a wonderful week WoMos.

BEING PREGNANT. LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

It may be controversial… There is an expectation that being pregnant should be enjoyed.  It is meant to be joyful, exciting and a time of celebration.  For many women that is not the case.  And yet to express you aren't having a good time can be viewed negatively.

OWN YOUR HEALTH

Ludo Partner Raewyn shares her event on 15th September.  This is your chance to awaken to your full potential. You're longing to step into being the best at your relationship, being there for your loved ones, being dynamic at your career…
And you've tried doing it on your own — but you just don't have the energy, because your time is either sucked up googling how to solve feeling cranky, bloated, stressed and in pain, or trying the latest wonder drug, supplement or therapy.

On Thursday 15th September, I'm going to teach you how to change this story in 3 simple steps
