Looking to clean up your pumpkin coffee addiction? Try this easy Sugar-Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer! This version is even dairy free, meaning it doesn't even contain lactose, so it really has no sugar!
The best part of making homemade creamer is that you can customize them to your preferences. Use this recipe as a framework, and tweak it to fit your tastes. Want it sweeter? Add more sweetener. Want more pumpkin flavor? Add more pumpkin. You can even substitute, add, or subtract certain spices. You could skip the pumpkin pie spice blend entirely and just use cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom. Or maybe you really love cloves; throw more of them in!
Ironically, you could even customize it by swapping out for real sugar and dairy. If you're not on any diet restrictions, go ahead and swap out the dairy free creamer for real half & half or even heavy cream. Or if you don't need to watch your sugar intake, substitute your favorite type of sugar for the sugar substitute.
Basically, you're the boss! This recipe is just a starting point to make your own homemade pumpkin spice creamer, in which you know exactly what ingredients your body is consuming, and you can customize the flavor profile to create your own uniquely perfect pumpkin coffee. Have fun with it!
Sugar-Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer
1-1/2 C dairy free creamer (I prefer Original unsweetened Nut Pods)
1/4 C pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/4 C sugar substitute (I used Lakanto classic)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp vanilla extract
In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk creamer, pumpkin, sweetener, and spices. Bring to a simmer and continue to whisk until sweetener fully dissolves.
Remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Your creamer is ready to serve in your coffee, tea, or wherever you choose!
