| Homemaking in the Dunes Dec 25 | Food waste is a budget buster. Christmas Eve dinner was munchie things everyone likes. I baked everything in the oven. Clean up and cooking was easy. We played games and had an easy Christmas Eve before Mass. I had planned leftovers. Today, we are enjoying the sliders and pizza, breadsticks, and artichokespinach dip pasta. The shrimp was devoured last night was devoured. I was glad about that . I hate shrimp. Christmas dinner is crockpot pot roast. I will serve it with vegetables and breadsticks(my kids love dinner bread) and mashed potatoes. I will use the remains of the pot roast for a vegetable beef orzo soup. Easy and I will have leftovers for the freezer as well. The cost for ingredients for both meals with left overs was 50 dollars. We purchased the ingredients for the Christmas eve. The beef is from the cow we raised. The potatoes, garlic, brussel sprouts, and onions were raised in our garden. We purchased the mushrooms and asparagus. Merry Christmas. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
