`Pantry time and money savers:
I grow a lot of my herbs and dry them. You may not need of these. I make these very three months because i make a lot of different types of foods for lunch and dinners. Spice packets are expensive. I like pulling these little jars out when I am cooking I grab one jar and my side dish is ready. A tablespoon of one of these mixes and I am able to create flavorful meals. The key is to mix up mixes you like to use.

Stocking your pantry a litte bit every week with 5-10 dollars is going to allow you to get ahead as prices continue to rise.
My favorite pantry items:
flours: wheat, cornmeal, and all purpose
flax seed
pasta
rice
quinoa
tomatoes
coconut milk
sugar
baking powder
homemade can of soup mix replacement
dried vegetables
canned pineapple
dried vegetables
dried fruit
Freezer:
frozen greens
frozen fruit
frozen broths
meats
homemade freezer meals
Let's face it if you bank your time with few prepared meals ahead, you will have something on hand to avoid takeout or if you are feeling a bit ill. Make a double batch of lasgna or chicken enchildas. Have one for dinner and freeze one.
Every week, I make a double batch of pancakes and waffles.
