It's being reported that Sony Pictures is working with Toei Animation to bring out a live-action Saint Seiya movie under the title, Knights of the Zodiac. The film is being directed by Tomasz Baginski, and the screenplay was written by Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film was in development for years with a number of delays. However, quite a bit of time in 2021 was spent filming the movie in Hungary and Croatia.

The cast includes:

  • Madison Iseman is Sienna
  • Sean Bean is Alman Kiddo
  • Famke Janssen
  • Nick Stahl
  • Diego Tinoco
  • Mark Dacascos

As of this writing, the release date for the Knights of the Zodiac live-action film has not been announced. Toei Animation will distribute the film in Japan, while Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute the film in other world markets except China and the Middle East.
