Mompowerment Thoughts

Hi read,

How are you this week? I hope you're staying cool this summer. It seems like it's hot pretty much everywhere.

As part of a client project, I've been researching Millennials and Gen Z. I've uncovered their focus on work-life balance – especially flexible work options – and fair compensation. Sound familiar? Yep, it's not only working moms asking for these.
These aren't short-term fixes for only one part of the workforce. You've got Gen Xers who have been in the workforce a while, Millennials who are coming up the ranks, and Gen Z employees starting their careers, all asking for the same thing.

And this push from younger generations helps keep flexibility, well-being, and general work-life balance in the spotlight. It helps nudge senior leaders and decision-makers to keep these as key benefits that help attract and retain talent today and long-term. That is a great thing for working mamas like you. It's also a great thing to share as you ask for more or continued flexibility at work and fair compensation for your skills.

I want to support employers that are empowering working moms to create greater balance in their lives. As burnout and frustration levels seem to be rising for working mothers and rightfully so, I want to actively help.

For the months of August and September, a key time when working moms and dads make changes, I will be lowering my rate for a 1-hour virtual session for employers to $1199 (40% off my usual rate). It's a customized session, full of practical tips and actionable ideas that you can quickly use in your day-to-day life. Share this email with your HR team, ERG lead, manager, or senior leadership team to get a session on the calendar now.

If you're an entrepreneur, I've got you covered too! I will be creating a session for you and want your input on the topic. Let me know if you would prefer a session on:

  • establishing or retooling your morning routine
  • creating intentional professional relationships
  • uncovering your why (your motivation for making changes to create greater work-life balance in your life)
  • partnering with your significant other
Have I written about a topic you want to know more about? Let me know in your reply.

How else can I help support you as you look to create greater work-life balance in your life? Have a win to share about making changes that have helped you create more balance? I want to hear those too!

Can't wait to see what you share!

Suzanne
