Last Week's To Do's As I said last week was a bit bleh, and today I am not feeling real flash.. sore throat and icky, so I do hope I am not coming down with something... I got a bit distracted with the lounge room last week because we got a new-to-us couch set from the Salvos. Had to take some things out to make space for the new, but I'm happy with the "new' set... We had quite a few nice sunny days last week, this week the rain has really set in. I also got the hearth swept up, there were lots of little bits of wood under the basket, so got all that into the fire.. of course it doesn't take long for all the ash and wood to get back again, but at least it was clean and tidy for a bit! The door was broken, some bits had come off, and DH fixed it last week - it's burning so much better now, amazing! We were going through so much wood before, now it's lasting much longer. I didn't clean the glass of the door - it's been so long, can't remember what the best way is . I seem to recall some people saying to use cold ash? Any thoughts? While I was doing all this in the lounge room, Loki was "lounging" in his little Teepee... Now, on to what I was supposed to be doing last week! In the Kitchen Tidy pantry - nope, got distracted with the lounge room instead!! Tidy freezer - did a bit In the Sewing Room Kitchen SAL – Strawberry Jam~ got mixed up because I already finished this one!! Heartfelt – decide if I am going to order more fabric or make it smaller… ~ I think I will make it smaller... Beautiful Day Mystery – Finish Block 3 – Fun Dash (it's a churn dash!!) ~ Done! See yesterday's post. Chooky's Churn Dash SAL – eight blocks ~ Done! Finish binding tumbler quilt ~ Nope Great Granny Squaralong - two blocks ~ Nope IN THE GARDEN Plant veggies in pots ~ planted silverbeet and spinach Plant herbs in pots ~ Nope Sort seeds ~ Nope Start some seedlings ~ No, we had quite a few mornings with frost, so decided there was no point yet OK that is it for last week's to do's. On to this week: This Week's To Do's In the Kitchen Can some pork stew In the Sewing Room Kitchen SAL - Mama's Apron Heartfelt - choose the blocks I still want to do Beautiful Day Mystery - Block 4 - Grace Chooky's Churn Dash SAL: Barn Dance - eight blocks Pink Churndash - three blocks Great Granny Squaralong - two blocks Bind tumbler quilt In the Home Since we got the new to us couch set, the old one had to go out. It is now sitting in the kitchen/dining area, and I want it out! It's not a big area, so we can't get at the table at the moment.. the cats are loving having it there... ...but I am not! Thing is, we need to make space in the back room for it, so that's why it's still sitting there. So this week it needs to go! Move Couch out!! Tidy kitchen/dining area IN THE GARDEN Finish planting veggies in pots Plant parsley in pots Sort seeds Find mini greenhouses and put in some seeds And that's it folks... enough to keep me busy I think?!
