 | quiltiferous Nov 27 | I have a sweet family member who doesn't read the blog and is about due for a sewn gift for Christmas! This year, I'm making her a table mat out of my star pattern. Her choices of household colors are different than my own, so it was a struggle to find fabric in my stash that was cream based and darker reds and greens. I found just enough cream for the background in my scrap basket! I sewed slowly and carefully with this block, since I didn't have fabric available to remake it! I'm trying to decide now if it needs a small red border to make it look complete. Then I'll layer it up and hand quilt it during the holiday season. I think it will be a good use of my time during the colder evenings! I enjoy hand quilting, and she will like the results so much! I may even make another if there's time before Christmas!
