| Homemaking in the Dunes Nov 25 | Our daughter sees herself as the resident artist, and her brother sees himself as the technology wiz. Their art instructor leaves a lot to be desired as an instructor. Their assignment was to create 4 book covers for a teen book. It is a digital art project. Our kids are straight A students. This assignment was not their usual grade. This assignment requires both structural art talent and correct use of technology. Our daughter stomped out of the room when she saw that her brother had a higher score. Our son nailed the technical aspects out of the ball park and our duaghter's art was out of the park. So, they are working together to rework their projects before the final project. Coworking through this project will allow each child to reflect on the other's abilities and create a cohesive designs of their own with input from each other. These are the lessons we all need to learn in life, we give ourselves labels, and others give us labels. It is pretty fine at any time to reject that label regardless of how it was aquired. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
