Lloyds Bank Foundation's Funding Programme for Specialist Small Charities
Lloyds Bank Foundation new funding programme offers three-year unrestricted grants of £75,000 with tailored development support aimed at helping to strengthen charities and build the knowledge, skills and capabilities of staff and trustees.
In addition, grants of up to £500 are available for groups who need accessibility support to apply for this programme. The grant will help fund the cost of support, such as a scribe or BSL interpreter.
There will be a free webinar on 9th November, 2023 (10:30am to 12:00pm).
Applications open from 10am on 1st November, 2023.
Lloyds Bank Foundation Specialist Programme Details
Funding for Charities and Designers to Create a Fully Funded Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025
Project Giving Back (PGB) is a grant-making organisation that exists to fund gardens for good causes at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, using it as a platform to raise awareness of that charity.
Applications are welcome from UK charities and designers, community interest companies and not-for-profit organisations.
Applications for:
- Show Gardens will be accepted from designers who have previous show garden experience either at RHS Chelsea or at another RHS flower show, depending on size of garden applied for.
- All About Plants is open to designers who are new to RHS Chelsea Flower Show, nurseries, plant societies and botanic gardens.
The grants are to be used to cover the costs of creating the garden (eg design fees, plants, hard landscaping, transport) and everything involved with creating the garden at RHS Chelsea, and then the majority of costs towards relocating the garden.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 3rd November, 2023.
Project Giving Back (PGB) Fund Details
£1,000 Grants for People of Colour in Arts
Through the Grand Plan Grant, funding is on offer to support people of colour who want to create and deliver a new cultural project.
The programme supports creativity in all its forms, including poetry, paintings, fashion, zines, music, food, flowers, photographs, workshops, events, or something else completely.
Grants of £1,000 are available to cover the cost of equipment, courses, applicant's time, materials, travel, etc.
The deadline for the current round is 11pm on 9th November, 2023.
Grand Plan Grant Details
Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme Opens for Autumn 2023 Round
The priority of the Energy Redress Scheme is to support energy consumers in vulnerable situations and to deliver benefits to the types of consumers that were negatively impacted by the specific issues that triggered the redress payment.
Registered charities can now apply for Energy Saving Trust's Main and Small Project Grants Funds, which aim to:
- Support energy consumers in vulnerable situations.
- Deliver benefits to the types of consumers that were negatively impacted by the specific issues that triggered redress payments.
The grants can be used for capital or revenue funding and can provide up to 100% of the project cost.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 14th November, 2023.
Energy Redress Scheme Details
£250,00 Fund for Black-owned Restaurant Businesses
The Black Business Fund aims to help Black-owned businesses in the restaurant industry that are experiencing financial pressures.
A total funding pot of £250,000 will be distributed to Black-owned restaurants that need additional financial support.
The money can be spent on professional services and/or equipment that will help a business grow.
Applications close on 15th November, 2023.

Empowering UK SME's : Low Carbon Energy Grants and Business Support
The Low Carbon Energy Solutions Innovator Challenge supports UK-based SME innovators who are developing low carbon energy solutions. Successful applicants will receive cash grants and tailored packages of support to drive the commercialisation of innovative energy products and services.
Bespoke business development support designed to aid businesses in scaling-up and commercialisation is also provided.
The application round for the next cohort will close at 9am on 20th November, 2023.
Low Carbon Energy Grant Details
Mosques Can Apply Now for Protective Security Funding
In a bid to tackle the increasing number of hate crimes directed at religious buildings, the Government is making the funding available to places of worship so that they can purchase extra security equipment.
This round is for mosques only.
Up to £24.5 million is available to protect mosques and Muslim faith schools in 2023/24.
The funding only covers the provision and installation of these security measures. It does not cover other associated costs such as licensing and planning permission, or ongoing costs such as charges for annual service, maintenance and monitoring.
Mosques can also apply for some security guarding services, where they feel security guards will improve the safety of their site and those worshipping there.
The deadline for applications is 26th November, 2023.

New Grants to Decarbonise the UK's Creative Industries
The Creative Catalyst Challenge Fund is intended to be used for the research and development of an idea, product, system, or process that reduces waste within the creative industries, decarbonises and/or reduces impact on the climate.
Creative UK may choose to make one award of £250,000 or a number of smaller awards up to the £250,000 total, depending on applications.
Applications are invited from UK registered limited companies or SMEs working in any subsector of the creative industries.
The deadline for applications is 27th November, 2023.
Creative Catalyst Challenge Fund Details
Transport Research and Innovation Grants Open for 2023
The Transport Research and Innovation Grant (TRIG) supports future leaders in transport innovation by awarding funding for the development of new technology.
For TRIG 2023, DfT will offer innovators grants of up to £45,000 across five separate challenge areas, in addition to an Open Call challenge to undertake early stage feasibility studies.

- Challenge 3: Airport Decarbonisation
- Challenge 4: Future of Freight
- Challenge 5: Connectivity, AI and Digital Twins
- Challenge 6: Maritime Decarbonisation
TRIG is open to SMEs, large businesses, universities, and research and technology organisations based in the UK.
The deadline for applications is 27th November, 2023.
Transport & Innovation Grant (TRIG) Details
Breaking Down Bias: Innovate UK's Challenge to Make AI Fairer
The aim of this Innovate UK (IUK) competition is to drive the development of novel solutions to address bias and discrimination in artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
Proposals must address bias and discrimination in one of these use cases:
- Provided healthcare use case
- Open use case
Up to £400,000 has been allocated to fund innovation projects in this competition.
This competition is open to single applicants only. To lead a project an organisation must be a UK registered business of any size, academic institution, research and technology organisation (RTO), charity, not for profit, or public sector organisation.
Applications will close on 13th December, 2023.

Cycling UK Big Bike Revival Grants Reopens for Winter 2023 Funding Round
Cycling UK is offering grants of up to £2,500 for voluntary and community cycle groups to deliver projects and activities that:
- Encourage people who don't cycle to cycle.
- Encourage people to cycle more often.
- Increase short cycling trips.
- Improve the perception of cycling safety.
- Improve people's confidence to cycle.
The Big Bike Revival Grants Programme will support events and activities that use the 'fix-learn-ride' model to provide sessions for people groups that are underrepresented in cycling.
The deadline for applications is 15th December, 2023.

Weston Loan Programme with Art Fund Open for Applications
The Weston Loan Programme with Art Fund helps regional and smaller museums to borrow works of outstanding quality and significance from national and major lending institutions across the UK.
The grants help to cover the practical elements of strategic loans projects as well as funding funds activities to maximise the impact of the loaned items and develop the skills of museums professionals.
UK public museums, galleries, historic houses, libraries and archives can apply.
Applications can also be considered from small and contemporary arts spaces and other non-collecting institutions, provided they meet the programme's aims. Non-national institutions that are on the list of eligible lenders can also apply.
Applications will close on 15th December, 2023.
Weston Loan Programme with Art Fund Details
Cash4Clubs Offers Small Unrestricted Grants to Community and Voluntary Sports Groups
Cash4Clubs focus this year is on community sports clubs and organisations who are in need due to the impact of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis and may be threatened with closure.
The funding is unrestricted and can be used for anything that will support the organisation to continue and/or grow their activities in their local community.
Typical examples of costs might include a contribution towards:
- Venue hire including floodlights / heating
- Coaching costs
- Volunteer expenses
- Equipment
- Kit
- Marketing and communications
- Training and qualifications
- Insurances and affiliations
The deadline for applications is 31st December 2023, but may close earlier if a large number of applications are received.
Cash4Clubs Fund Details
Funding to Help Disadvantaged Groups to Improve their Communication Skills
The Thomas Wall Trust is accepting applications from UK charities project or running costs for a charity that equips disadvantaged people (aged 18 and over) with the communication skills ready for employment.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available, and the Trust can support annual repeat funding for up to three years.
There is a two-stage application process.
The deadline for stage one applications is 8th January, 2024.
Thomas Wall Trust Details
New Funding to Support Adult Social Care Reform
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is administering the Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF), which provides a total of £42.6 million in grant funding to address barriers to adopting innovative practices and build capacity and capability in adult social care.
The aim of the ARF is to support the adoption or scaling of projects that deliver the department's 12 priorities for innovation and scaling.
In order to participate, the department are asking local authorities to form consortia with other local authorities in their integrated care system (ICS) geography.
The fund is not competitive, and each consortium will receive an allocation of funding if the expression of interest form is submitted on time complete with the necessary information.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 12th January, 2024.
Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF) Details
Veterans' Foundation Reopens for 2024 Projects
The Veterans' Foundation offers grants to charities and not-for-profit organisations that provide support to those in need among serving Armed Forces personnel and veterans.
The funding can be used to cover a range of costs directly related to projects covering a range of aspects of social care for the Armed Forces community.
All registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations that support the Armed Forces community can apply.
The Foundation has introduced an online eligibility quiz. This must be completed in order to access the application form.
The first deadline for applications is 30th January, 2024.
Veterans Foundation Details
Canoe Foundation Invites Applications
The Canoe Foundation has announced that grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available for projects across the UK that will:
- Increase or enhance existing public access points to water for all forms of paddlesport (canoeists, kayakers and paddleboarders).
- Create sustainable launching and landing sites, to and alongside water, for all sectors of the community and all abilities.
Applications will be accepted from a range of organisations, including paddle clubs, community groups, charities, parish councils, and local authorities.
The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on 31st January, 2024.
Canoe Foundation Details
Crowdfunder Launches Cost of Living Resilience Fund
The £500,000 Cost of Living Resilience Fund is provided by Access and this match-funding initiative will provide grants of up to £50,000 conditional upon applicants first securing crowdfunding via Crowdfunder's platform.
The fund aims to increase sustainability in social sector organisations by supporting them to deliver projects which build organisational stability and resilience to deliver.
The fund will close when all the funding is allocated.
Cost of Living Resilience Fund Details
Kellogg's School Breakfast Club
Kellogg's, in partnership with Forever Manchester, is offering grants of up to £1,000 to schools across the UK to help fund breakfast clubs and ensure that children who need it most receive a morning meal.
Only one grant per school in each academic year is available. A limited number of grants are available, and the fund may close at short notice if oversubscribed.
Applications can be submitted at any time.
