John 15 Verse 11: "I have spoken these things to you so that My joy may be in you and your joy maybe complete."
Being reconciled to God, restores what we were created for, fellowship and communion with Him.
Through reconciliation, we can now partake in all that God has for us. John 15 verse 11. Jesus points the way to joy, a divine quality of character that is possessed and given only by God. It is rooted in relationship with The Holy Spirit, not earthly or mortal things.
Christlike joy is seen in the description of Him, Hebrews 12 verse 2:
"Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despise and shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne."
For Jesus, bringing us into fellowship with the Father was His delight, through the cross, was the means of that eventual joy.
The Joy that Our Lord and Our Friend has can be ours, His joy came from obedience, of which He emptied Himself of His divine Glory, to die on a cross in our places, to pay a price we could not pay. Then He took up His rightful place again in the Throne room of God.
Fullness of Joy comes through obedience, and through obedience we can have the Joy that Jesus enjoys, and He has also promise our joy will be complete. Our obedience should be out of our love for Him, and not because we are expected to.
God Bless
