There is so much finger pointing in politics, parenting choices, I could go on and on. Our politcial discussions at the breakfast table lent to the discussion of how people who think they are a higher level than another person because they see their opinion as the purer one. My husband loves to mock the Republican party and rant. My challange to him was to ask him have you sat down with anyone in Republican to discover the reasons they think and believe the way they do? This morning my neighbor and I had loud discussion about the lesson we were having on the back porch for African American History. She was upset with me for signing the children up for this course. I asked her why she was offended by what I was teaching. Mind, you, we are both conservative women. She informed me that we would no longer be joining in coteaching events. I really believe that Christian based homeschooling has a place and so does traditional education. I have had our children attend their Christian based science class, luterature, and history for a different worldview point. I am not going to write exactly about what was said to me because it supports agendas. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
