>> Shit!
Why does it have to be snow? <<
Hannah folds her hands and tries to warm them by blowing.
>> It's way too cold!!
I have no idea how Taehyung manages to act so well in these freezing conditions. <<
She observes the scene for BTS's new music video Spring Dayfrom a distance, taking a break from recording for BTS BOMB. Wonju has scouted two locations that match their concept. Together with her team, they have decided to start with the outside locations before moving into the rented studio.
Jungkook:
"Do you think I can do it?"
Hannah:
"What do you mean?
Surviving the cold?"
She shrugs with a huge grin and points her head in Yoongi's direction.
Hannah:
"He might be the first one to turn into an ice sculpture."
Jungkook holds his stomach laughing.
Jungkook:
"Noona…
I mean…
Do you think I can act well enough?"
He crosses his arms and frowns.
Hannah:
"Don't worry, Kookie.
Right now, you can take your time and study your friends' acting."
Jungkook:
"Look at Tae-hyung's performance…
How will I ever be able to be as good as–"
Hannah:
"Stop comparing yourself to others.
Taehyung was part of Hwarang this year and got a lot of practice in acting while producing it.
First of all, BTS is a music group.
You guys are musicians, writers, composers, singers, rappers and dancers.
Who says you need to be extraordinary actors as well?"
Hannah puts her hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
Hannah:
"I've seen you improving impressively over the years during the music video shoots.
And I know you will do a fantastic job later when it's your turn.
You were deeply involved in shaping this video's concept.
I believe in you, Jeon Jungkook."
He smiles shyly.
Jungkook:
"You are right, Noona.
I've got carried away with my doubts."
He takes one step closer and puts both arms up to hug her, but Hannah pushes him away gently.
Hannah:
"No affection at work."
He pouts.
Jungkook:
"Sometimes, you are as cold as snow.
But…
Thank you for cheering me up, Elsa."
Hannah:
"Frozen's Elsa?"
Jungkook nods self-confidently and Hannah chuckles.
Jungkook:
"That is going to be your nickname."
He pauses for a second before coming up with the English lyrics.
Jungkook:
"<The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen>"
Hannah:
"<A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I'm the queen>"
Jimin:
"<Let it go
Let it go
Can't hold it back anymore>"
Yoongi:
"The cold is bothering me A LOT"
Everyone bursts out laughing.
Hannah:
"Let's get you guys some more hand warmers."

JAPAN OFFICIAL FANMEETING VOL.3 in Osaka
15.12.2016
Hannah inserts another 10-yen-coin into the white vending machine in front of her. She pauses for a second and ends up pushing the light-up button under a cosy-looking bottle wearing a scarf. ホットなROYAL MILK TEA sounds like the perfect solution to warm up her hands.
She reaches down for her bottle and takes a warming sip before turning right to cross a bridge leading to a European-looking building.
>> A salmon-coloured front and mint green roof…
Looks baroque. <<
Hannah puts up her camera and looks to the viewfinder to compose her shot. The warm light of the early setting sun paints the whole city in a magical glow. When she was about to press the shutter button, she notices a person on her frame's left side. She lowers her camera to get a better picture. The guy in his early twenties faces the river, admiring the sunlight playing with the glass facades of the skyscrapers in the distance.
>> If I … <<
Carefully, Hannah moves closer without stopping to look at the person. She knows exactly how her picture should look and puts up the camera. Upon adjusting the aperture and shutter speed, she gets into position and takes a few shots before her subject decides to leave the spot.
By the end of the street, she turns right and continues walking alongside the colourful trees. Compared to the bustling noise of the Umeda ward, it's much quieter around here, with fewer cars and families spending time next to the river. Hannah sits down on a bench, closes her eyes and takes a deep breath in.
>> There is nothing better than recharging alone.
Luckily, Hobeom joined us in Japan. <<
Even though Sejin operates as BTS's main manager, the guys have several assistants to help cope with their busy schedules–Hobeom Song being one of them. Hannah tries to keep more distance from her friends and appear professional whenever the other managers are around.
>> I really thought he got better… <<
She opens her eyes and sighs.
Everyone has been overloaded with appointments and tasks the last few weeks. Hannah could see all of them longing for the upcoming days off in early 2017. Her dad makes sure that BTS get some time for themselves in summer and winter to slow down. But the days before the year ends with the endless award shows constantly drain their energy.
>> Since the music video shooting, I've never seen Jimin eat.
And today, everyone showed up for breakfast, except him. <<
She takes out her phone and opens the group chat.
Hannah: Did anyone see Jimin eating yesterday or today? Jungkook: No. And I try to be around him as often as possible. Taehyung: Jimin doesn't eat in his room, either. It's like he suddenly disappears right on time. Namjoon: After this event, we have the rehearsals for the other music video shooting left. Yoongi: Sometimes, I forget to eat as well. Namjoon: Same. Let's get back to our new family meals after finishing these appointments. Hannah: I hope Jimin won't faint again until then… Hoseok: I'll take care of him while you and Seokjin are on vacation. Don't worry, Hannah.
>> That's easily said, Hobi… <<
Yoongi: When will you be back, Noona? Hannah: I'm out in the city taking pictures right now. But I plan to grab some Takoyaki on my way to the venue. I'll be back soon.
Hannah looks over the peaceful river and takes a long breath before getting up. As promised, she stops for Takoyaki on her way before documenting behind the scenes footage of this event for ARMYs.
18:00
JAPAN OFFICIAL FANMEETING VOL. 3 in Osaka
After recording a final message for Japanese ARMYs, Taehyung and Manager Hobeom hurry to Kansai Airport to return to Korea. While the rest of BTS still have the Hi-Touch event left in Osaka, Taehyung needs to attend the press conference for Hwarang: The Beautiful Knights tomorrow.
>> What a long day… <<
Hannah closes her hotel room door and sits down in front of her laptop. Usually, she would start editing today's video footage, but she is curious about the photos she has taken.
Aren't you in Osaka right now? God, I miss Japan.
She smiles and unlocks her phone.
Hannah: I had like one hour to walk around Osaka today and took a few pictures. Will edit them now. Lucas: Can I join? I need to edit yesterday's pictures as well. Hannah: Sure!
Just a second after sending the message, her phone rings. When she accepts the video call, a smiling face greets her.
Lucas:
"Please tell me you got a nice view out of your hotel room."
Hannah nods, walks over to the window to open the dark blue curtains and turns her phone to show him the skyline.
Lucas Černý is one year older than her and lives in Prague. In 2013, Hannah used to browse through pictures taken in Japan on Flickr and shared those she likes on her Tumblr account. One of Lucas' pictures from Gifu Prefecture caught her attention and she asked for his permission to post it. After this first interaction, they continued chatting about their love for Japan and photography frequently. For the first time, they met in person during Hannah's trip to Japan in 2015.
Lucas:
"That one is cool!"
He stops her at the picture she has taken of the guy on the bridge.
Hannah:
"That's also my favourite of today."
Lucas:
"Loving the angle and depth of field you used."
Hannah opens the picture in Lightroom and selects a preset.
Lucas:
"Is that… my preset?"
His ice-blue eyes light up.
Hannah:
"Yes!
I love the immediate vintage-look every photo gets with it."
Together with Lucas, she edits a few of her photographs before they work on his raw files.
Hannah:
"Prague reminds me about Budapest."
Lucas:
"Never been to Budapest, but I heard it's a beautiful city."
Hannah:
"Sometimes, I miss Europe."
Lucas:
"We can switch if you want.
Don't you work in marketing as well?
I could take over your work for… let's say a month and you come to Prague.
My team is fun and I often go out for a beer with my colleagues after work."
Hannah tilts her head and strokes her chin.
Hannah:
"Tempting…
How good is your Korean?"
Lucas frowns and runs his fingers through his dark blonde hair.
Lucas:
"Shit!"
Hannah:
"Besides, my workmates can be… chaotic."
Lucas:
"Chaotic sounds fun though."
He smiles.
Lucas:
"I'd love to work in Asia."
Hannah:
"If you like overwork, then you're more than welcome here.
But if you instead aim for a work-life balance, I'd recommend staying in Europe."
Lucas:
"True.
It's cool to travel around without being tied to the work culture.
Still, my Japanese friends have told me some heart-breaking stories.
Is it as bad in South Korea?"
Hannah nods.
Hannah:
"Or worse.
Since I've only been to Japan for short projects, my assumptions are based on the stories of my Japanese friends.
But do you have any plans to come back to Asia next year?"
Lucas:
"I was thinking about… June?"
Hannah takes a brief look at her calendar and smiles.
Hannah:
"We might have some projects in Japan around that time."
Lucas:
"Awesome!
I'll tell you the details if I book anything."
*knock knock*
Jimin:
"Panda?
Are you still awake?"
Hannah:
"Yes.
Give me a second.
Lucas?
Sorry, I think one of my coworkers needs help.
It was great talking today, and we should do that more often."
Lucas:
"I agree.
Don't work too long and sleep soon."
Hannah:
"Thanks!
Have a great day."
She walks to the door and opens it. Jimin takes one step inside and looks around her room.
Jimin:
"I thought… I heard you talking to someone…"
Hannah:
"Just ended a video call with Lucas."
Jimin:
"With 3P?"
Hannah:
"3…P?"
Jimin:
"Pretty photographer from Prague."
Hannah laughs.
Jimin:
"I mean… is he wearing contact lenses?
Nobody has such bright blue eyes!"
Hannah:
"Not here, but it's common in some countries in Europe."
Jimin:
"And I need to wear these stupid contact lenses to change my eye colour."
Hannah:
"You do that pretty often for not liking them."
Jimin:
"Who wants to be beautiful must suffer."
16.12.2016
Release Event "Hi-Touch" in Osaka
17.12.2016
*ring ring*
The mobile phone lying on the nightstand interrupts the silence. Hannah opens her eyes tiredly and slowly sits up. After letting out a big yawn, she walks to the dark curtains and pushes one of them to the side.
Seokjin:
"Ahhhh!
Too bright!"
He pulls the grey blanket over his head to protect his eyes from the dazzling morning light.
Hannah:
"Wow!!
Hey, Jin!!
Look at this!"
Hannah turns around, but Seokjin doesn't move below his blanket. She puffs and walks over to his bed to free him from the protecting fabric. Seokjin desperately tries to get it back, but Hannah stays merciless.
Hannah:
"Jin!
Look at this breathtaking view!"
She grabs his hand and pulls him up. Seokjin stumbles behind her, but when his eyes adjust to the bright light the winter wonderland outside the window reflects, they widen.
Seokjin:
"Wooooooow!
Impressive."
He turns around, sprints to his suitcase and skilfully pulls out clothes.
Seokjin:
"Whoever is last to be fully dressed needs to pay for the ski passes!"
He closes the bathroom door behind him and Hannah shakes her head.
Hannah:
"I've already paid for those, you joker."
In the meantime, she gets changed and occupies the bathroom after he finishes to protect herself from the impending sunburn with lots of sunscreen.
Seokjin and Hannah take a taxi to the nearest ski area and a gondola brings them up the snow-covered mountain. They rent ski equipment for the next two days at a shop and put everything on. Before entering any ski lift, they stop in front of a large information board that displays the different available slopes.
Seokjin:
"This place offers three intermediate and two black slopes.
I haven't been on a black one for a while.
Do you dare to join me?"
Hannah's eyes widen and her skin colour turns pale as the snow.
Hannah:
"Don't they have any… beginner slopes?"
Seokjin bursts out laughing.
Seokjin:
"Don't tell me you can't ski!"
She swallows hard.
Hannah:
"We went skiing once when I was in school, but I was never a fan of this sport.
Got some bruises trying to make it down the beginner slopes."
Seokjin:
"From now on, you shall only call me 'Sensei'!"
Hannah nods, smiling uncertainly as Seokjin points to one of the moderate routes.
Seokjin:
"I would say this one is the easiest."
He turns to her and grins encouragingly.
Seokjin:
"Don't worry.
I'll make sure you get down alive, Noona."
Hannah:
"How… calming."
Seokjin:
"Jimin would kill me as soon as I return if anything happens to you."
Hannah smiles.
Hannah:
"Good point."
After taking the ski lift to start of the slope, Seokjin explains the basics once again. They do a few dry runs before daring on their first descent. In total, it takes them one full hour to finish. While Seokjin is slowly skiing backwards, he guides the insecure Hannah by holding her hands. Living up to his reputation, he is an excellent teacher who quickly helps her overcome the fear of the snow and descent.
When Hannah understands the basics halfway through, she becomes more confident and the sections she skis alone get longer. After finishing the first slope, she happily throws her hands in the air.
Hannah:
"I am still alive!"
Seokjin lifts his left hand and they give each other a high five.
Seokjin:
"Well done!
You're a fast learner."
Hannah:
"Only because Kim Seokjin is an outstanding teacher."
She winks.
Hannah:
"But to be honest…
I would have starved to death on this mountain otherwise or have broken my neck on the way down."
Seokjin laughs at her joke and turns around to the ski lift.
Seokjin:
"How about another round?"
Hannah:
"Or two?"
After two more descents, which became much smoother, they stop at the ski hut to warm themselves up. Both order Sundubu jjigae, and Seokjin tells Hannah about his training for the upcoming show Law of the Jungle. He will travel to Kota Manado in Indonesia in early January for this celebrity reality documentary show.
Hannah:
"That's quite the opposite of this snowy landscape.
Will you do your best?"
Seokjin:
"Of course!
I'm not only Worldwide Handsome, but super talented."
Hannah:
"I would never disagree with you."
After finishing a hot chocolate as dessert, they take the ski lift up the mountain again. This time, Hannah dares to tackle the more difficult moderate slope.
In time for sunset, Seokjin and Hannah arrive in the valley after their last run and take a taxi back to the hotel.
Seokjin:
"How about trying out one of the black slopes tomorrow?"
Hannah:
"Only if you support me as you did today."
Seokjin:
"Deal!
But now I need a hot shower.
It was so fucking cold outside."
Hannah:
"No problem.
Hurry up, so you don't catch a cold!
I think I'll call Jungkook and ask how the situation at home is."
Seokjin:
"Good idea."
She dials Jungkook's number and he picks up immediately.
Jungkook:
"You are still alive, Noona.
It wasn't as bad as you feared?"
Hannah:
"It was fun!
But I would have never been capable of doing this on my own.
There isn't even a beginner slope here!"
Jungkook:
"Go big or go home, right?"
She smiles.
Hannah:
"Exactly.
But I'm relieved Jin is here to help me.
How are things at home?"
Jungkook:
"Chaotic.
As always, when you're not around."
Hannah:
"You guys didn't eat together today?"
Jungkook:
"We spent most of our time in the rehearsal room working on the choreography for Not Today.
Jimin is still at the gym, I guess."
Hannah:
"Right now?"
Jungkook:
"I have no idea how he endures this…
For today, I gave up on our mission because I don't have any energy left."
Hannah:
"If you're not feeling well, you don't have to force yourself, JK.
For sure, your health comes first."
Jungkook:
"But I'll check on him now to drag him home."
Hannah:
"Thanks.
When we're back home, there will be a feast.
Even if the calendar is overloaded, you shouldn't forget to eat.
Your training is way too hard for such a stupid diet."
Jungkook:
"You're right, Noona."
After ending the call, Hannah continues reading her book before falling asleep.
18.12.2016
Since early in the morning, everyone except Seokjin keeps practising the choreography for Not Today at their studio.
Hoseok:
"One, two, three, four…"
The refrain's beat drops.
Hoseok:
"<No, not today>
Don't forget to make huge movements."
He exaggerates every step.
Namjoon:
"<No, not today>"
Yoongi:
"<뱁새들아 다 hands up
친구들아 다 hands up>"
Instead of repeating the previous move once more, Jimin walks to the next position.
>> What is he doing?
That's too early! <<
Hoseok:
"Hey, Jimin!
You need to repeat three times before getting back to the centre."
The others stop dancing and Jimin runs his fingers through his hair embarrassed.
Jimin:
"Sorry, I thought we have done it three times already…"
>> To be honest, his movements got sloppier during the last 20 minutes. <<
Hoseok crosses his arms and takes a deep breath.
>> Usually, Jimin is the first to finish every new choreography flawlessly in a short matter of time.
Making such a minor mistake after these countless times we have practised…
Maybe Hannah was right and he is starving himself again. <<
Hoseok:
"JK, get to the centre.
Let's finish this chorus up before having a break."
Jungkook nods and they get into position. Taehyung presses the remote control and the music continues.
Hoseok:
"<No, not today>
One, two, three…
Now to the left."
Jungkook:
"<No, not today>"
Hoseok:
"Slowly walk back.
And… done!
That part looked perfect, I would say."
Yoongi:
"Finally!
I mean…
It only took us like… forever?!"
He crosses his arms in front of his chest.
Taehyung:
"But let's have a break now!"
He sits down on the floor, letting his muscles relax.
Taehyung:
"It's weird not having Seokjin around…"
Hoseok gets down next to him.
Hoseok:
"Yes…
I cannot imagine BTS with any of us missing.
It has to be seven members."
Taehyung nods and Hoseok follows Jimin stumbling to a chair on the side. Weakly, he plumps down and swallows half of his water bottle at once.
>> Not sure that Jimin can practise much longer today… <<
Taehyung notices Hoseok's gaze, letting out a sigh.
Taehyung:
"He doesn't look good at all."
Hoseok:
"No…
If we don't get him to rest tomorrow, I doubt he will be able to survive the upcoming two days of intense music video shooting."
Taehyung:
"Should we order some food?
I haven't seen him eaten all day."
Hoseok:
"Good idea.
We need to practise the last part a few more times, but I would say then we are good to go.
Hey Namjoon!"
Hoseok waves to Namjoon, who nods and walks over.
Taehyung:
"We should order some food after finishing training."
He nods towards Jimin with a concerned gaze.
Namjoon:
"Good idea.
Hannah would have gotten us some food already."
Hoseok checks the time.
Hoseok:
"They should be at the airport now."
Taehyung:
"I'm looking forward to having Hyung and Noona around again."
Namjoon:
"Two days can feel like an eternity.
But Jin-hyung deserved his birthday present."
They pull themselves together to finish today's rehearsal and line up for the big finale. On purpose, Namjoon and Taehyung leave enough space for Seokjin, even if he is not around. Jimin is in the centre putting extra effort into his movements and Hoseok nods approvingly.
Hoseok:
"Nice, Jimin!"
Jimin smiles pleased.
In total, they repeat the last sequence four times before they hook their arms into each other for the final beat. Jimin breathes heavily beside Hoseok and his grip feels clingier than usual.
>> Fuck yes!
This video will be epic. <<
Hoseok grins proudly at Yoongi on his right, who winks at him.
Yoongi:
"Damn, we made it!"
A second later, Hoseok cannot feel Jimin's grip anymore but hears the noise of something large dropping on the floor. His head shoots left and his eyes widen seeing his friend collapsed next to him.
Hoseok:
"Jimin!"
He kneels down and places his head closely to Jimin's.
>> His breathing sounds weak but steady. <<
Namjoon gets down on the other side.
Hoseok:
"He is still breathing.
But we need to put his feet up."
Namjoon nods and places Jimin's feet on his lap.
Namjoon:
"Yoongi!
Call Dr Cho and tell him we will come over soon."
Yoongi nods and talks to their assigned doctor at the discrete hospital they picked for privacy reasons. They pack up their things and hurry to get Jimin checked. On their ride, Namjoon video calls Seokjin to let him and Hannah know what happened.
Hannah:
"Didn't you guys eat today?"
Namjoon:
"Busy training, but we planned to have food after finishing.
Jimin fainted after the last beat."
Hannah:
"Guys, that's too late!
I know you feel anxious about the upcoming video with this intense choreography.
But you would also be able to finish in time if you had a lunch break."
Hoseok:
"Sorry, Noona."
Hannah:
"Can't change the past…
Please make sure Dr Cho is properly checking Jimin.
Did he… wake up yet?"
Namjoon moves the phone for Hannah.
Namjoon:
"Sleeping like a baby."
Hannah:
"He must have been so exhausted…"
She sighs.
Seokjin:
"Maybe, if Dr Cho tells him what he is doing to his body…
That could open his eyes."
Hoseok:
"You are right, Hyung.
Trouble Mochi cannot keep up his play with a doctor who has the proving data."
Hannah:
"Joon?"
Namjoon:
"Yes, Noona?"
Hannah:
"I want Dr Cho to check all of your vitals.
This month has been super busy and even though Jimin is on his extreme diet, you all skipped meals too often.
We should work out a healthy diet with a doctor's help.
I'll tell my brother to join you guys, and we will follow as soon as we land in Seoul."
Namjoon smiles fondly.
Namjoon:
"Thank you, Noona, for always knowing what to do."
Hannah:
"What would you guys be without me?"
Hoseok:
"That thought is not accepted.
Hannah will work for BTS forever."
He grins and she rolls her eyes.
Seokjin:
"Oh, boarding just started.
See you soon!"
Taehyung:
"Save flight!"
They get into the underground parking and one of the nurses is waiting for them with a bed in the entrance area. Jungkook and Namjoon lay Jimin down on the bed and everyone follows the nurse to Dr Cho's office.
He does a few vital checks with Jimin after Nurse Seo takes a few blood tubes and leaves for the laboratory. Jimin still hasn't woken up.
Dr Cho:
"We might have to wait for the blood results, but his skin appears slightly yellowish–uncharacteristic for Mr Park.
When I checked his abdominal wall it felt extremely hardened.
Constipation, fatigue, fainting… common side effects…"
His gaze rests on sleeping Jimin and he sighs.
Dr Cho:
"Sadly, anorexia is rather common among idols."
Hoseok looks down at his feet and clenches his fists.
>> Even though we knew what was going on…
Anorexia…
You read about it, but when it happens to one of your best friends… your roomie… <<
He stares at Jimin who is covered by a white blanket, one hand–the one which got the IV injected which directly provides him with necessary fluids–placed on top of his stomach. The machine monitoring Jimin's vitals fills up the room with a monotonous beeping.
>> Why couldn't we help you? <<
Sejin Bang:
"Thank you for confirming our apprehensions, Seonsaengnim.
I'd like to ask you to check all of them properly.
The last weeks were intense, including several performances, rehearsals and a lack of resting.
We want to keep everyone healthy."
Dr Cho:
"Of course, Mr Bang."
He looks at Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok, Taehyung and Jungkook.
Dr Cho:
"Mr Park needs to rest.
I'd like everyone to wait in the nearby waiting room.
Nurse Seo will call you when it's your turn.
Will Mr Kim be back soon?"
Namjoon checks his phone.
Namjoon:
"Seokjin and Mrs Winter landed a few minutes ago and will come over immediately."
Dr Cho:
"Perfect.
Mr Min, I'd like you to come with me first."
Yoongi nods and follows the doctor while the others sit down in another room. Nobody speaks a word while one after another has to get a checkup done and his blood taken.
Shortly after Jungkook walks into Dr Cho's office, Seokjin and Hannah step into the waiting room.
Namjoon:
"Perfect timing.
You are next, Hyung."
Seokjin tilts his head.
Seokjin:
"Next?
Ah, the checkup…
But… how is Jimin?"
Hoseok:
"Still asleep in the other room."
Hannah:
"Sejin…
Did Dr Cho have time to check Jimin's blood results?"
Sejin Bang:
"I guess he will talk to us after finishing checking every member."
She nods absent-minded and sits down next to Hoseok.
>> How was your flight?
Stupid question…
He will be alright.
How generic…
Don't wo-…
Told too often…
Fuck… <<
Hoseok sighs and Hannah looks at him.
Hannah:
"Not the first place I imagined to meet everyone again."
She smiles comfortingly and Hoseok tries to grin back, knowing it looks like a grimace instead. The door of the waiting room opens and Jungkook steps in.
Nurse Seo:
"Mr Kim, welcome back.
Please follow me."
Seokjin nods and Jungkook takes his seat.
Hoseok:
"But it's nice to know that you're back."
Hannah:
"Thank you, Hoseok.
I missed you guys, too."
Yoongi looks up, raises his eyebrows and grins.
Hannah:
"Yes, also you."
She gently hits the back of his head.
Yoongi:
"Hey!!
What was that for?"
Hannah:
"For not taking care of cooking."
His smile fades and he looks down.
Yoongi:
"Sorry, Noona."
Nurse Seo opens the door slightly.
Nurse Seo:
"Mr Park woke up."
Namjoon:
"Can we… see him?"
Nurse Seo:
"I'm sure Mr Park should rather rest.
But he asked for… Hannah?"
Hannah:
"That's me, but…
Please tell Mr Park that we will come over soon, after talking to Dr Cho."
The nurse nods and leaves.
Yoongi:
"Seriously, Elsa.
Why do you refuse his request?"
Taehyung:
"Elsa?
Frozen's Elsa?"
Jungkook nods proudly and Hoseok bursts out laughing.
Hoseok:
"Elsa, true.
Hannah can be an ice princess sometimes."
Hannah:
"Thank you for stabbing me in the back, Hobi."
He shrugs and before he can defend himself, Dr Cho asks them to come into Jimin's room. The blood results have arrived in the meantime and he would like to talk about his condition with everyone.
Dr Cho:
"Mr Park, you must be confused why you're here.
You fainted during training.
We took some of your blood and tested it for a possible cause for your current state."
Jimin nods quietly and Dr Cho looks down at the paper with the results.
Dr Cho:
"We have been monitoring your vitals and your blood pressure is too low.
During previous checkups, your blood pressure was most likely around 110/70, but now it has dropped to 70/40.
This caused you to faint earlier."
Jimin:
"But why… is my blood pressure so low?
We have a video shooting the day after tomorrow…
I must…"
Dr Cho:
"We'll try our best to supply you with the best medicine to strengthen your body.
But you will need to do your part and rest."
Hannah:
"I'll make sure personally that he eats and rests enough."
Dr Cho:
"Thank you, Mrs Winter."
He smiles at her before his face gets serious again.
Dr Cho:
"Speaking of eating…
Mr Park, I know most patients try to deny this diagnosis, but your friends have told me about your behaviour during the last couple of weeks.
For sure, the results of your blood tests cannot be denied…
Your body lacks sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, Vitamin B12 and D at the moment.
All of these deficiency symptoms are common for anorexia nervosa."
Everyone expects Jimin to make up excuses and try to fool their doctor, but he only sighs.
>> Does he… believe him? <<
Dr Cho:
"You don't have to be ashamed, Mr Park.
By far, you're not the only one having a dysfunctional view of yourself.
But whatever your mind tries to tell you…"
He studies Jimin's file for a moment.
Dr Cho:
"55kg…
Definitely too low for your height and I advise you to gain some weight, soon.
A BMI of 18.4 can get dangerous for you dealing with your demanding schedule.
If you want to continue dancing and performing, you need to take action now."
Jimin looks up.
Jimin:
"I wouldn't be able to perform any more?"
Dr Cho:
"You haven't fainted for the first time.
Next year, you guys will go on your world tour and travel around the globe.
You'll need strength."
Hannah:
"If you skip meals, you only weaken your body and end up disappointing the people you want to impress."
Jimin looks at Hannah.
Hannah:
"ARMY."
After getting everyone's results, Dr Cho sits down with them to work out a diet and exercise plan to keep them strong and healthy for 2017.
They return home and Hoseok helps Jimin get into his bed.
Jimin:
"I'm sorry, Hyung…"
Hoseok hugs Jimin tightly.
Jimin:
"Maybe my mind is… broken…"
Hoseok:
"Your mind can be your biggest enemy.
At least, you finally realised that something is wrong."
Jimin:
"I know you guys have been trying to help me and I kept pushing you away.
But whenever I look at myself in a mirror…
I don't like what I'm seeing."
Hoseok:
"What you see is not what everyone else is seeing.
Recently, your frame doesn't look healthy anymore…"
Jimin:
"Maybe I just need to accept this… disease."
Hoseok:
And overcoming it… with our help.
But for now, you need to sleep."
Jimin:
"But tomorrow's practise…"
Hoseok:
"With the backup dancers?
Hannah has taken care of it, and we will do it some hours later instead."
19.12.2016
Sejin pushes today's rehearsal with the backup dancers from 10 am to 4 pm for Jimin to regain strength. Hannah doesn't leave his side, so he is forced to stay on the sofa in the common room. Occasionally, she goes into the kitchen to get him food, and when she returns with lunch, he grins broadly.
Jimin:
"You will be a wonderful mother one day."
She stops and tilts her head with a firm expression.
Hannah:
"I'm too busy with these seven kids to get my own."
His eyes widen indignantly and she hands him the plate with a smile before sitting down next to him.
Hannah:
"Eat up, Mochi."
Jimin:
"Feed me."
He playfully opens his mouth widely.
Hannah:
"Fuck no."
She crosses her arms and shakes her head vigorously.
Hannah:
"You can eat by yourself.
I'll just stay around to make sure you eat."
Jimin:
"I know.
Thank you, Noona."
He stops joking and eats up.
After BTS have done a few runs together with their dancers, Hannah stops the music.
Hannah:
"Alright, guys.
One final round before you'll get today's reward…
Manager Sejin, Hyunwoo and Hobeom prepared Korean Barbecue!"
Everybody shouts cheerfully before getting back into the first position.
Sungdeuk Son:
"Did you hear that?
Barbecue!
For the last time…
Three… two… one…"
Hannah:
"Action!"
