FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will be simulcasting the Deep Insanity THE LOST CHILD anime during the Fall 2021 anime season. The series will stream in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand as it airs in Japan, as well as Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Brazil with simulcast dates to be confirmed. The anime will begin streaming in October 2021.

Part of a mixed media project from Square Enix that includes the manga Nirvana and the mobile video game Asylum, Deep Insanity THE LOST CHILD follows the aftermath of a mysterious illness that slips the people of Antarctica into a coma.

Deep Insanity THE LOST CHILD focuses in on protagonist Shigure Daniel Kai, voiced by Hiro Shimono, who is immune to the illness and drives himself further into the city's abyss to find a cure.
