BUENA PARK, CA —There's a chill of fall in the Orange County air signaling that Halloween is not far off. If you're anywhere around Knott's Berry Farm after dark, chances are you'll hear the shrieks and screams of fright and delight at this year's Knott's Scary Farm event.

Knott's Scary Farm brings the thrills, with every inch of the park ready for Halloween fun in 2021.

With just under two weeks to go at this in-person scare-fest, organizers promise that visitors will find the largest and most haunting Halloween event in Southern California.

Organizers do advise that those under 13 not attend due to the level of horror.

Patch visited the event and was not disappointed. As promised, there were "unimaginable scares and innovative thrills" at a scare-level ranking in the 7 to 8 range on our scale of scary (a 1 - meh and 10 - I'm about to lose my mind from the terror), according to our own Miranda Ceja.

"I'm pretty much the one who jumps every time there's a scare," Ceja says. "The event delivered on the scares."

The fully transformed theme park features haunted mazes, attractions, sinister shows, and the chance to come face to face with 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding around every corner to freak you out.

Is it the stuff of nightmares? or merely great Halloween fun?
