The 2021 Harvey Awards ceremony was held tonight as part of New York Comic Con. The virtual ceremony saw awards handed out for six categories: Book of the Year, Digital Book of the Year, Best Children or Young Adult Book, Best Adaptation from Comic Book/Graphic Novel, Best Manga, and Best International Book. This year's award winners are:
- Trung Le Nguyen's The Magic Fish for both Book of the Year and Best Children or YA Book
- Rachel Smythe's Lore Olympus for Digital Book of the Year
- Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man for Best Manga
- Yeong-shin Ma's Moms, translated by Janet Hong, for Best International Book
- Marvel's Disney+ series WandaVision for Best Adaptation from Comic Book/Graphic Novel
Earlier this week, the Harvey Awards committee also announced this year's inductees into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame. Among this year's Hall of Fame class are Bernie Wrightson, William Kaluta, Barry Windsor-Smith, Rumiko Takahashi, and Jeffrey Catherine Jones
