This week started out with all of the pleasures of home, and ended with the pleasures of being nowhere near home.
It's a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren't posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples. It's more laid back than the Project 365s of previous years. You can learn more here

Here's a very short video, featuring 1.5-second moments from the week:

Saturday
I'm dedicating an 8-pack of film this weekend to documenting a bit of everyday life.
The super bright window sabotaged my exposure reading. I've got to get better at noticing stuff like that before pressing the shutter button. Until then, though, I'm going to have a lot of dark and dramatic shots. It's ok. I kind of like this one despite its shortcomings
Waiting in the parking lot for the kid to be done with his shift, you have time to notice the way the light falls on the stone wall behind the red bench in the local strip mall.
Sunday
I call this "Home Alone: A Weekend Photo Project" Neil has been away this weekend for the first time in nearly two years. And so I popped a pack of film in the Polaroid and documented how I've spent my time. I didn't include watching TV or knitting, since that's how I spend almost every *other* weekend. So, while I did do a little bit of that, mostly I did other things. House work has been Neil's domain ever since I went back to work full time, so it's a novelty now for me to do some of this stuff.
1. Cleaning the kitchen counter before making myself Friday night dinner
2. Saturday morning, brewing a hot pourover
3. Cleaning the living room
4. Washing the filthy back window of the car the kids use (you couldn't see through it when the sun shone on it!)
5. Unloading the dishwasher
6. A fresh vintage table cloth for the kitchen table
7. Sunday morning, working on taxes
8. Dropping off a son at work
Thursday
Less than five minutes after arriving at our rental, my mother, sister, and I are on the beach.
The first day of a long weekend goes fast, when you don't arrive at your destination until dinner time.
Friday
Morning on the Delaware Bay.
Cape May Lighthouse
Back at "our" little beach after a busy day.
