It's time to deck the halls up in this place. I usually try to take advantage of the warmer days before the frigid winter temperatures set in to decorate outside. There have been years in the past where our outdoor Christmas decor could give off some Clark Griswald vibes, but this year we went a little more low-key.

The first night we put them out, Gigi went nuts because of the new light outside and she couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I love our log home, but I really love it at the holidays! The twinkling lights and added greenery just make it so cozy. The urn fillers are the perfect replacement for when my mums die. Because they are more pine, I keep them out usually until early March. The past few years Parker's class has sold real pine so I've been buying live pine garland for my outside. I was able to use two sections to reach around the front door and these lights added just the right amount of twinkle!
