I've been waiting excitedly to share this scrappy stocking with you for about a month... and then totally forgot to post about it last week!

I've also been waiting to share some exciting news.. which, if you follow me on Facebook, you will have already seen 🙂

For those of you who aren't on Facebook, a few months ago I applied to be an Australian Accuquilt blogger... When I lived in Arabia and had my little shop, I stocked AccuQuilt products from US and found them to be a great company.

To cut a long story short, the team at AccuQuilt Australia are lovely and I am looking forward to working with them! I will be doing one blog post a month for them, on the first Wednesday of the month... so my first post went up last week when I forgot that the 1st of December was a Wednesday 🙂

Thankfully they are more organized than I am!!!!

Remember when I took Mum away at the beginning of the month and was working on something special?

Well, I was working with my Christmas scraps, to make a scrappy stocking...

A Scrappy Christmas with the Go! Santa Stocking Die

A few weeks before I was accepted as an Aussie AccuQuilt blogger, I bought the Go! Santa Stocking Die (affiliate link). When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it was:

I tell you what, this die would have come in handy back when I was making stockings to sell at markets!! It was so quick and easy to use!

I, of course, decided to use some of my many 2 1/2" squares to make it scrappy...

I always love how it looks when the die has been put through the machine...

And the finished product turned out quite well I think....

Now the good thing is, you can get the pattern free on the AccuQuilt Australia Blog, there is even a free downloadable pdf 🙂 And of course if you live in Australia, you can buy the die online here or here in the US (aff link)

Now, I'm wondering... have you put your Christmas tree up yet?
