This Jool changing pad comes compressed in a vacuum sealed bag. Once you open it up it from the bag it will quickly take its shape within just a few minutes. I left it out for a whole day and that afternoon to air and it was to its shape and fluffed out. It's very padded and soft feeling. This will make the little one very comfortable. I couldn't believe how big this thing really is and wide as well. This is not a small cramped up one so you'll won't be having to figure it out. The high sides helps to keep baby from rolling off the pad. It actually gives you room to do what needs to be done. It comes with a cover on it that's a neutral color of gray in background and has clouds upon it in white with gray lines through them. It's actually stylish and can go for either gender. This is a waterproof cover and so if accidents happen it protects the soft pad from those moments. It slides on and off with a zipper opening and closure. Now the changing pad itself without the cover isn't waterproof it's only the cover that is so be sure to have it on there when the little one is on the changing pad. The strap that holds the little one is nice too and can be tightened or loosened with ease depending upon child's size and comfortable level with the strap. It doesn't mean you have to strap them down to change them it's just there so if you feel the need for that bit of help or safety feature to this changing pad it's offered. This is very convenient to have around the house. It's meant to go on a changing table and will stay in place without sliding around. However like me as a parent and always on the sometimes we need things to help us else where so if you need it on the go, in the floor, on the bed, and so on its light weight and can be taken anywhere for that quick diaper change. Overall the changing pad has been great for the little one during changing diapers and even clothes. It does the job that it's intended to do and so far has held up really well. This would make a great gift.
