Aoni Production has announced that anime voice actor Joji Yanami passed away on December 3, 2021. He was 90 years old at the time of his passing.

Yanami was best known as the voice of Kaio-sama and the narrator in the Dragon Ball franchise. His other credits include Chuta Ban in Kyojin no Hoshi (Star of the Giants), Ittan Momen in Gegege no Kitaro, Boyacky in Yatterman, Totosai in Inuyasha, Gan Fall in One Piece, as well as many other characters throughout his career.
