A new course aimed to train women of colour how to make games
Are you a woman of colour aged 18-25 in Sheffield? Do you want to learn how to make videogames?
Learn how to make games in workshops for two hours per week over six weeks through the National Videogame Museum's The Next Level Project starting Friday 22 April.
- No qualifications are required
- The course is completely free
- All technology will be provided in the museum.
Try out art and animation, storytelling, games design and basic coding. NVM claims that by the end of the course you will have designed your very own game based on your own ideas!
According to NVM, you will receive:
- A safe space to learn at the National Videogame Museum (Sheffield City Centre)
- One-to-one support and careers guidance
- Career talks by developers of colour
- Accredited certification from Investing in your Future
- Travel expenses and refreshments
- All equipment provided in the workshop
