Police order arrest of killers of motorcyclist in Bayelsa
The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Ben Nebolisa Okolo, has ordered the investigation and arrest of the killers a commercial motorcycle rider at Emeyal II community of Ogbia Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the deceased motorcyclist who was reportedly killed on Sunday is an indigene of Emeyal 2 Community.
His lifeless body was said to have been found on Monday morning at Bakery axis in Imiringi Community, and his motorcycle stolen.
The police in a statement issued through the State's Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, charged Police Operatives in the state to fish out the culprits who murdered the deceased.
The statement continues "The deceased rider identified as one Goodnews Okirinya 30 years, was murdered by unknown assailants, who stole his motorcycle and dumped his body in a cassava farm at Emeyal II Community"
The body was discovered on 30 May 2022 at about 0915 hours.
The scene was visited by operatives, photographs taken and the corpse evacuated to the hospital for autopsy. An investigation is ongoing.
The Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Ebinyo Marvin Turner, also condemned the killing.
