How is your week going so far? You may have spotted on our Instagram, that my intrepid eldest daughter returned from her gap year travels. 5 months in Peru and Costa Rica and she returned back looked blonder than ever with a mega suntan! It is so good to have her home. Here at WoMo HQ, we understand parenting kids at ALL ages has its challenges. Our tech is for WoMos going through maternity leave and bringing a brand new mini person into the world, and we know here in our community we have parents with kids of all ages. We welcome you all, with all of your challenges. If you feel called to share any parenting experience you are juggling, we welcome guest blogs. In fact I have asked my 19 year old to share a blog on all the things she thinks are important when travelling for your gap year. Watch this space for more!
Enjoy the jubilee bank holidays next week if you are UK based. A 3 day week! Fortunately it falls in half term, as a 3 day week AND half term might just have tipped me over the edge.
Please remember to introduce us to your employer. We want to have a chat with your Head of HR or Diversity & Inclusion lead on how to retain female talent.
This week we feature Sherly Carroll and Rebecca Peat within our 'Meet the WoMos' section. We also have a fantastic guest blog on sleep by Oliwia Koren. Who doesn't want more sleep?
Have a great week!
MEET THE WOMOS: SHERYL CARROLL
We met Sheryl via zoom a few weeks ago and knew instantly that she would make a terrific impact as one of our expert partners. We wanted to find out a little more about her WoMo life in Australia.
She has two children who are both at nursery and school and is about to embark on a move to the countryside in New South Wales.
4 THINGS TO CONSIDER THAT WILL OPTIMISE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SLEEP!
Guest blog post byOliwia Koren
It might seem obvious that we need sleep to function and to achieve our best on a daily basis – but how many of us have a real working knowledge of the benefits that come hand-in-hand with sleep?
Being a parent comes with its own sets of challenges. Between juggling your career and tending to the little ones (and that's just the start!), it's completely understandable that you're probably not getting your 8 hours a night.
Oliwia shares how you can optimize the sleep that you do get, without buying anything new.
This week we meet Rebecca Peat who is a Coach and Leadership Development Adviser at Your Step. We sent Rebecca a set of 12 simple questions to answer around her experiences of life as a working mum.
