so i went to this cute little hole in the wall chinese restaurant...they are on homewood ave near the other stores that look trash...
anywho.
the food was pretty nice.
i got a chicken egg foo young lunch special for 8.50 with tax...9.44...i was short the change so they gave it to me for 9 dollars even.
the young lady behind the counter is always so pleasant...she suggested i eat my fried eggroll with both mustard and duck sauce...well...i prefer duck sauce only...it was cute but I don't like it that way...
the egg roll was fried to perfection...crunchy and textured with a filling that wasn't overpowering yet good and greasy...just how i like it in the hood.
and the gravy on the side was touch i noticed...the packaging clean...all durable containers that i can reuse for my own kitchen concoctions later down the line...reuse, reduce, recycle!....so yes the egg foo young patty was fried delicately...the color of peas and the meaty mixture with egg was appreciated and much different from what i'm used to...and the rice...muah...fried and buttery golden...
I yummied my way through it all...leaving just a bit for some leftovers...for more insight on my travels cycling throughthe HOMEWOOD, ILLINOIS DOWNTOWN AREA...PLEASE GO HERE.
love,
Queen 3 and nem.
