SUMMER CHAOS
Every Year, The Transition Between School And Summer Screws Me Up

Today, Samm D. recounts a recent morning at her house — the first week all four of her kids were home on summer break. "I was already frustrated with small things — the dishes still left in the sink, the mess that had accumulated on the living room floor, and the fact that I bought the wrong kind of sunscreen. I was anxious and irritated." Her husband gently pointed out that this was nothing new: "You get like this every year at this time."

Lots of people associate summer with freedom — but even the transition to something good can be hard. Let Samm unpack why it's difficult for her, and see if you agree.
