Happy Self care Friday Traveling Souls..
Today, i want to start a conversation with those of us who feel sometimes overwhelmed with life's tough questions. You know...the questions that we base our life decisions on? The ones we need to meditate on for days and sleepless nights, before finding the right way to even ask ourselves the question correctly?... Questions that we can't seem to find the right or straight answers to on our own, it seems? yes, im talking about these questions. While i'm one of us, "scholars", lol, usually always in my "books", studying life's lessons, life has been extra rough these days sneaking up on me with "unexpected quizzes" to meditate on and learn from. So, here i am, always looking for ways to keep my grades up on my life lessons with exercices and homework..lol …
So… here's one of "those questions" that popped back into my mind... "What's the truemeaning to Life"? I don't mean to come out too strong there. I 've been asking myself that question lot lately, very casually, i promise. But honestly, Don't ask me for my conclusions yet. I've just had a wake up call recently, while reading a post by Erma bombeck titled 'If i had to live my life over' . When i finished reading her post, i felt like setting my alarm clock on "getting outside of my head" time instead… Anybody else can relate?..
Speaking of acknowledging the present… What if, you are really offered to meet with your future (self, or goals) today….? would you get all dressed up and ready? Would you look just confortable in your pijamas… Or you would care less?
I don't know what the quickest way to answer life's toughest questions is yet, but after reading Erma Bombeck's post slowly, it inspired me to settle down. So i took the call. I really ignore how much i have to say to my future today yet, but surprisingly, none of those things i have yet to say to my future are negative. They are all rather…constructive?
So if you are looking for relevant, thought provoking affirmations to say to your future self about your present,I have a question for you. What would you do differently today, if your future turns out to be your present?
If you don't know what to answer to life's toughest questions, like the real purpose to life , here's a thought: maybe it's a sign that it's time to let go and enjoy your present just as it is? Who knows?...maybe that's all that your future needed to hear, to come alive.. and strong…
Sometimes You just don't know how good you have it, until you meet somebody who has it worse than you. So promise me that you won't be too hard on yourself. If you still don't know what you want your future to look like, you can still learn from your past while enjoying your present. But make sure you enjoy your present.
After some light soul searching, i finally did come up with a word that settles the issue for me, for now. The word is "opportunity"
Opportunity(noun).the consequence of being there in the right place, at the right Time, around the right people in order to achieve something that you have been looking forward to….
Happy summer!
