1 Peter 5:6-8 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour".
God is keeping an eye on everything, and will step in and help us, if we ask Him. But He does ask something in return, and that is that we surrender to Him, and His will for us. He asks us to trust Him, and not lean on our own understanding. He wants our heart so He can give us life in all its fullness.
Trouble will come our way, because the devil is running amuck in the world today, seeking to destroy marriages, families and relationships. Anything good, he is out to destroy. I was saddened to hear on the airways recently that there is talk of being able to divorce online. What is that!
Our DV Courts are getting busier, our Family Courts as well. It seems more and more people are committing acts of aggression against one another. Road rage is on the increase. Neighbors fighting with neighbors. People stealing, robbing and pillaging. people turning to alcohol and drugs to escape from the world. The list goes on of peoples' selfishness and greed, and the disharmony, not only in our society, but in the world.
The Lord reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
I suppose the message here is to "not let the devil get a foothold", and take the instruction from in James 4:7 "submit yourselves then to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." My prayer is that you and your families experience God's Presence and His peace as you journey through this week. May God bless you.
