WoMo Newsletter: Tuesday 12th July 2022

Hey WoMos

Some of you may find the school holidays have already started and some schools have a bit longer to go. We are in for the long haul of the mega summer hols how.  WoMos, you have got this.  We send super organisation vibes to you and patience. Working, and school hols can be incredibly challenging.  The juggle is real.

I have my 6 year old booked into all sorts of sport camps and art camps.  He goes from 9-5 most days which I know will keep him happy doing fun things with his friends, and me happy because I can keep working.  I have set up a Whatsapp group with a couple of other WoMos too, so we can share drop off/pick ups. Sharing the load is the way forward.

We continue to raise investment for Ludo and would welcome any referrals to Angel Investors or VCs you know, that are passionate about supporting women in the workplace and closing the gender pay gap.  I read this week it will take 136 years to close the gender pay gap if we continue in the same way.  We need affirmative action. Ludo IS affirmative action.

In the newsletter today, we have the lovely Bryony Williams join us in the 'Meet the WoMos' section, we're looking for menopause experts, assessing the financial implications following the pandemic for working mothers and invite you to join us at our next event in September.

Please remember to introduce us to your employer.  We want to have a chat with your Head of HR or Diversity & Inclusion lead on how to retain female talent.

Have a good week WoMos!

LOOKING FOR MENOPAUSE EXPERTS FOR LUDO

As you all know by now, we are unashamedly shouting from the rooftops about our support for women in the workplace and how we are on a mission to engage and retain female talent to close the gender pay gap.

This is where we need your help… Are you a small brand working in the menopause space who are passionate about supporting women through this transition? We are looking to partner with brands and services just like YOU!

MEET THE WOMOS : BRYONY

This week we are excited to introduce Bryony Williams, a mum of one who has recently started out on her own as a career coach, supporting incredible women in professional services who are looking to break the glass ceiling and find their voice in a male dominated environment.

THE PANDEMIC'S LINGERING FINANCIAL EFFECTS ON WORKING MOTHERS

As a working mother, you already know the exhaustion, fear, and uncertainties that we all faced during the worst of the coronavirus crisis. In this latest blog post, we take a look at how you may have been affected and ways you can lessen the impact on yourself and your family as we emerged from the ruble COVID left behind.  Guest written by Marjorie Jones.
